Café Kiebêrt — Restaurant in Amsterdam

The bar looks nice, however the service is horrible. The waitresses are busy hugging, kissing and talking to each other instead of serving. I ordered a cappuccino as my hands were frozen after a bicycle ride and I wanted to warm them up around a warm mug. 1. They spilled the coffee so the mug came extremely dirty, I don't understand how they even dared to serve this. 2. The milk was steamed way too hot and got burned, therefore the cappuccino was not tasty and it actually just tasted like milk..couldn't find a coffee flavour or any microfoam actually. I asked for a new one as I couldn't even hold the cup without not getting my fingers dirty. With some attitude from the waitress I tot a new one, taste was still not good but at least the cup was warm and clean to warm my hands up. One of the drinks we ordered was not in stock. We ordered 2 snacks, 1 was served correctly and then we got something we did not order...they made a mistake so we had to wait a bit for the right order. The flatbread was tasty, but the samosa's were no samosa's..but just small Vietnamese loempia's in a triangle for, quite disappointing. Then when we ordered another drink the waiter came back 5 min later to ask what we ordered as she forgot. The service was extremely slow during the whole eve, will definitely not go...

Slowest service I have ever experienced (and in general the service in NL already isn’t the best compared to other countries, which is ok so I don’t expect much). We sat outside with 5 more other tables where people already had drinks and food and only after 15 min once I went inside and asked, if some could come out, they actually came 5 mins later. Took us another 40 mins to get their attention to order food (still same number of guests and 3 waiters). Food again took for ever to arrive and was average. The sweet potato fries were good tho. The drinks (Moscow Mule and Aperol Sprits) were the worst I’ve had in a while. Cute interior, nice terrace and great location. I hope they will work on the rest, because this place has a lot...

I’ve always had a very nice experience, but today it was something different. The waitress was super rude, we had to ask for the food menu 2 times and the second time we asked for it, we heard in “Dutch-Rustig aan”, which means calm down… don’t think it is something you expect to hear when you go to a restaurant to spend your money! The management should take a good care when choosing their stuff. Cause in the end we went to eat to the place in front -with great service called “Grill Bar Marathonweg”, so I guess it is a pity since we spend our money...
