Café Carbòn is hands down one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Amsterdam. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warmth and professionalism. Naomi, runs the place with such grace and attention to detail—it really shows in how smoothly everything flows.
The service was truly outstanding. Every server we encountered was friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about making sure we had a great time. It’s rare to find a team that works so well together and makes you feel like a valued guest from start to finish.
And the food? Absolutely delicious. Every dish was perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. Whether you’re a local or just visiting the city, Café Carbon is a spot you don't want to miss.

(My partner says the meat was average. The starters were greasy friture fast-food.) The incompetent waiter was very rude and put the blame on me for supposedly not ordering. He told me to "ask my boss" about it and proceeded to rile up other guests in the group. Then he wanted to shut me up by aggressively pushing me another, then cold, inferior piece of meat which I did not order. I demanded to speak to the manager and the waiter claimed to be it himself. The soup tasted like it was water drawn from a salt mine. The worst part was a male staff member who, after the starters arrived and we hadn't even taken a few bites, suddenly cleared all the food away. He didn't even ask us if we were done eating . When I questioned him about it, he made lame excuses saying he thought we had finished, and he didn’t even offer a proper apology. Considering his behavior from the beginning to the end, I couldn't help but feel that he had a bias against Asians.
