We have been going to ijscupye for the last 6 years since we moved here, and it was always good.
I heard that ijscupye changed ownership last year. Unfortunately, the quality has gone down, and prices have jumped massively this year.
I'm pretty sure 1 ball was less than €2 last year, and now it's €2.50 and that's not including the extra 20c supplemental charge for some flavours.
Yes, ingredients and labour costs have gone up, but that's a massive price jump.
That wouldn't be a major issue if the quality was good, but the texture is icy, and the hazelnut and pistachio had no flavour!
Very disappointed... think I will have to find another ice cream store.

But when kids full of enthusiasm look into the windows choosing ice cream, a grumpy lady comes and talks to them in a very strict humiliating manner that they cant touch the glass. A minor touch of the glass makes her furious and she makes two girls who stand behind the counter to do the same. These young ladies try to do it politely but the other lade (who’s the boss I suppose) gives then tough feedback not forgetting to through angry looks and words on kids. Guys, seriously? It’s an ice cream place. Place for kids to have fun choosing the taste....

However, this year a half litre is priced at 14,5 euros and it apparently contains 5 scoops/balls, while a 3-scoop ice cream costs 6,5 euros!! I wonder in what universe it makes sense that the more ice-cream you buy the more expensive the ice-cream gets...Moreover, the 5 stingy scoops I got were clearly less than one half litre, I wish I had taken a picture.
