We had a bad experience
We started off by ordering a Moscow Mule, which had an overpoweringly strong alcohol note and a dominant ginger beer flavor. While not to my personal taste, I understand that every bartender has their own way of balancing ingredients, so we accepted it without complaint.
However, things became more concerning when my friend ordered a mojito. The drink had little to no rum flavor and essentially tasted like mint-infused water — more like a virgin mojito than a proper cocktail. I approached the bartender politely and asked if she could please taste it, just to confirm if it was up to their usual standard. She responded that the bar uses a tap system that always dispenses the same amount of ingredients. Still, I asked her to taste it for herself — and to my surprise, she inserted the straw in the glass directly into her mouth to taste it.
This is where I felt truly let down. As someone who takes pride in proper hygiene and guest experience behind the bar, I found this incredibly unprofessional and unsanitary. I don’t believe any guest should be served a drink that’s been directly tasted in that way. To make matters worse, after all that, the response was simply that “this is how we serve our mojito” — with no attempt to remake the drink or adjust it slightly to improve the guest’s experience.
I’m not one to leave negative reviews lightly, but this visit left me genuinely disappointed. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as there’s potential for a great experience here with just a bit more attention to detail and guest care.
To be fair, I have nothing to complain about regarding the overall service and table service. When we asked to have the mojito removed because it wasn’t up to standard, she did take it off the bill without hesitation, and we truly appreciated...
Read moreI've been to Louie Louie twice now. First time all over experience wasn't great, but we decided to give it another go last night. However last night's experience was even more dissapointing.
They are very understaffed and the girl that was serving us was clearly doing the best she could. Both times that we visited it took a very long time for someone to clean our table, hand us menus and take our order. When you do find someone to take your order it gives off the feeling that they really don't have time for you and you feel rushed to make a decision.
This is obvious sign of being understaffed is a management error and has nothing to do with the capabilities of the waiting staff.
We ordered several items that all arrived at different times. Just like last time one item didn't arrive at our table. Last time it arrived waaay later, after asking several times. This time we asked the waitress several times and every time she went to check and got back to us that 'it was coming'. Turns out that they had completely forgotten to make the burgers that we ordered. An item that I ordered one hour later than the burgers, arrived within 15 minutes and still the burgers had not shown up. When were told that the kitchen had forgotten about our burgers a solid 2 hours had passed and we were told they were already out of stock.
We asked for the bill and because I'm not a suspicious person I assumed that the item was removed from the bill, so I didn't check. However when I later calculated the items that I actually received and the amount that I was made to pay it doesn't add up.
Tbh it was already bad enough that our order got messed up and we didn't receive our food that we had to wait incredibly long for. Let alone having to pay more than what you actually get.
I think it's safe to say this was...
Read moreI visited here with a couple friends for breakfast, hoping to get some eggs on toast. When I looked at the menu, the eggs and bread cost 10.95 euros. My first thought is, they must be adding a lot of toppings or decoration (with greens, tomato, etc.) for an egg and a bread to cost 10.95 euros. But no, I was wrong. Right under the food, it says 'check out the toppings' AND you have to pay INDIVIDUALLY for each of the topping that cost around 1-2 euros. I mean... come on. Seriously? I ended up ordering an extra topping of avocado (half of it costs 2 euros) because I was very hungry and the plate came with nothing but a slice of sourdough bread, 1 or 2 scrambled eggs and the half avocado I ordered. Nothing else. I have payed 12.95+ euros to have this meal... which is unbelievable. I would've appreciated if we could add one topping for free and the extra toppings were charged, which is reasonable. Other than its nice interior, this place is just overpriced and not worth it for breakfast. You can get a nicely decorated omelette in another place for this price. Maybe this place is more fitting for the evening to have a beer or something and NOT a breakfast. The service was good though, the waitresses are nice, the chai latte was great and the ambiance is cozy. I am officially giving it 2.5 but since thats not allowed im going...
