Pita Queen — Restaurant in Amsterdam

Sat in around noon for a later breakfast as the place offers. Have been there multiple times, usually food is nice and the brown haired server girl with glasses is really nice. This time, it was different. Waited 20 minutes for someone to take my order which I understand, it was quite busy. After waiting, I walk up to the counter and ask can I order here? The redhead girl goes: What do you want? French toast and the energize juice. Than this douchebag from next to her interrupts and almost yells at me sticking the menu in my face saying they don’t have that. I’m like it’s right there on the menu. I get ignored by him and the girl very rudely asks once again What do you want. I got pancakes. While serving, she just slammed the quite mediocre (was much better on previous visits) pancakes and juice on the table, no enjoy, no thank you, no smile. During the whole stay I felt very uncomfortable and that I did something wrong. They were the most hostile servers I have ever met. Lovely little spot to have a quick bite or enjoy something on the go. After biking around most of the day exploring the city, we stopped in for a refresh and enjoyed some smoothies and some loaded fries which were WAY better than expected! The juices/smoothies were fresh pressed and the falafel loaded fries were incredibly tasty, bursting with flavours! The tzatziki, hummus and quickles (quick pickles) served on the fries were very delicious and really complimented the flavours of the falafel. I usually find falafel to be quite bland in flavour but these ones weren’t, tasting great on their own! Decided to check out this place for lunch and was not disappointed. In fact, we decided to grab another meal from there later we enjoyed it so much. Ordered the pitadillo (BBQ chicken) and loaded fries (with duck) and two salads (quinoa with BBQ chicken and quinoa with duck). All four dishes tasted amazing, good portions and reasonable price. The only reason why I gave 4 stars for the service is because the second time, the gentleman serving us at the counter didn't seem to be a bit ... scattered.
