Positive: the food was not bad.
Negatives: We were a party of c 20 people, on a sunday evening, the restaurant was not busy. Having chosen whether we each wanted 1, 2 or 3 courses, as instructed by the staff, we were then told we had to decide unanimously on the number of dishes (ie some couldn't have starters unless all had starters), absurd policy. We each made a selection of fish, meat or vegetarian (as instructed by staff), when the food came it was put randomly on the table for sharing, with some people being at the opposite end of a 20 person table from what they had ordered. There was one measly portion of sides provided to share between 4 to 5 people. At least give a reasonable amount of this when paying 40 euro for a meal. At the end of the meal, we were offered desserts but needed to settle the bill for mains first and then we were allowed to order dessert. 10 people wanted dessert. Having paid for the desserts (individually), the staff insisted that 11 desserts had been brought and someone had neglected to pay (which was not the case). Having spent in excess of 800 euros, they insisted we pay for the 11th dessert. Overall a really bad experience. The food was decent, but the service, price, quantity, ease of experience were...
Read more1)There was lack information about the food in the menu and the waitress didn't give enough information. 2)She could not even think of bringing forks. We reminded it. 3)After having our orders we couldn't see any waiter. So we couldn't refresh our drink. Same reason, you can not even ask the bill, you need to go to the cashier. 4) A staff (probably the owner) was taking the clients' pictures without their permition. 5)When you need to go to the wc, you need to reserach it by yourself 'cause it is downstairs and there is no sign. In the end we found some one to ask(probably the owner), he tried to send us to Westerpark's WC. Firstly I thought it was a joke and smiled. ThenI realized it wasn't a joke when he asked "Are you eating here?" After I said 'yes' he didn't even describe it properly and said "downstairs " where were another rooms not only the restrooms- again no sign. By the way he didn't even say sorry for trying to send us the park's wc. 6)The restrooms were very disgusting. 7)They have nice food. Summary: They have nice food however they probably think that running a restaurant and selling food are completely same things. The service quality from A to...
Read moreCame here for a family member's birthday, she is vegetarian and had chosen Rainarai as it had some interesting looking veggie dishes on the menu. We took a seat and was greeted by a staff member who before even saying hello looked at our friend said "ooh, hot mama". Very strange behaviour from the staff in general. We were told that they would bring a mezze to the table, we said that we weren't sure we wanted that, he said that's just what they do (no indication of price or anything else, turned out to be EUR 36.00). For mains 1 ordered a meat dish and the other 3 vegetarian.. genuinely never been presented with such bland, sloppy completely tasteless food in a restaurant in my whole life. We complained amongst ourselves until we all agreed that we had to say something, we told the waiter that the food was just unacceptable and he offered to give us some more of the same stuff if we wanted (lost for words at this point). Overall, the place looks really interesting, but that alone is not enough, weird staff and to be honest, awful food. We left feeling disappointed and or wallets considerably lighter. You...
