Pacific Amsterdam — Restaurant in Amsterdam

This is a bad story that happened Saturday night, August 31st, to me and spoiled the party . I asked politely one of the guys behind the bar if he knew where I had to pick up Uber since my phone was indicating a meeting point to me not familiar. He replied he will ask his colleague because he did not know. The colleague, a non Dutch guy with a beard who supposedly knew came towards me and at that moment I stepped behind the bar to show him the street name that Uber app was indicating on my phone. Here is when this guy pushed me hard telling me aggressively to step back because I was not allowed to stay behind the bar. I stepped back and told him not to push me but he continued with force to push me back. He,three times bigger than me. Then the chief bar named Christian came and also pushed me as well until i reacted and said I will call the police. I did already stepped out of bar area but they continued to use threatment towards me. At that point the initial aggressive guy threw a piece of ice cube on my face. The situation got escalated and I was ready to call the police, but the chief bar tender asked him to tell him what happened but he was not interested and was pushing as well. Finally the manager of the place came, a Dutch guy. He listened and apologized. When asked, what they could have done for me to make it better, we suggested to pay me Uber home. He ordered Uber from his phone and told me that he was going to complaint to the guy. Unfortunately it was the end of nice evening, until that moment; we, a group of 50 people, were celebrating the birthday of one of us. And paid the bar for food and drinks. The Dutch manager was helpful and professional. It is really ashamed to have employees so much macho, aggressive, and in this case towards a tiny woman, unrespectful, unprofessional. I hope he will be fired. He must be. I will not come back nor my friends. The aggressiveness was out of control. I...

Food here is tasty, however the service in the terrace is pretty bad. We ordered a few dishes and they only brought one first. We had to wait around 10-15 minutes for the others, which meant one of us ate by themselves as they could not wait or their food would get cold. After they finally brought everything and we ate, we had to ask different staff 4 times to remove the used dishes. The staff kept brushing off our request, saying they would ask someone else in a quite rude/mocking manner. They did not actually take them until they noticed how angry we were, around 30 mins after we finished eating. We understand there was a lot of people, however there is no excuse for having an attitude. Customers are paying for a service, you’re not doing us a favour. It’s a shame the service was so bad as the food is great and the place itself...

This was a going away event for a colleague. The colleague chose Pacific Amsterdam.

Big terrace and nice weather. In the darker & cooler time they put up the parasols with lights and heaters up.

I ordered & paid thru QRcode each timme which I found convenient. You can also order directly from staff.

Lots of room on inside. A climb upstairs of many steps to bathroom. No idea if there is a lift. Bathroom attendent in the evening. Be good to her!!!

Nice venue- big, not squishy. So good for small & larger groups.

Everyone in there & outside seemed to be enjoying themmselves

One of us had a small confusion with order but nothing big and it was dealt with in good timme.

Staff attentive, friendly & quick which is mmarvelous!!!
