SmaaQt — Restaurant in Amsterdam

The worst customer service ever! We were served by a girl who had 0 manners! Firstly, she didn't even bother to clean our table, she just collected the empty bottles and glasses and left all the crumbles there. She cleaned the table only after we asked her. Then everytime she came to our table, she was not speaking a single word, just putting the food and cutleries in front of us and when we thanked her, she didn't even look at us. Eventually, we realized we had paid too much because of a system error (?) and she just returned the money without even apologizing! Also, why do the drinks menus lack prices? When we asked her about the prices, she just gave us another menu where the prices were "starting from". Never again visiting this...

Location is good and plenty of parking space. It's a cozy restaurant with a variety of dishes on the menu and interesting daily options, including BBQ dishes. Friendly staff but on busy nights slightly understaffed so you will have to fight for attention. Toilets are spacious and clean, well above Amsterdam average. Recommended to me by the hotel receptionist, this place was a real find. An awesome carpaccio starter followed by a flank steak, medium rare with the most gorgeous sweet, young carrot's and incredible smoked bacon. Accompanied by a nice glass of pinot noir. Finished with a delicious creme caramel. Great service too, if a bit aloof. Highly recommended.
