Amsterdam needed a place like this and now finally it’s here . Let’s start with the drinks : a crazy diverse and really tasty array of rums. The rum tasting menus offer joyful and naughty flavored rums and this is how I discovered I adore Rumbulliont . Then the cocktails : absolutely ingenious, heavenly flavors immediately making you feel Like you are in Tulum :)( haven’t been to Cuba yet) The host : the ingenious always smiling and kind Balthazar . This is our favourite hang out spot in Amsterdam and it really deserves more than 5 stars. It also happens to be around the corner so we visit this place quite often. We’ve tried almost every cocktail on the menu and they’re all ridiculously good! They offer a small selection of tasty snacks with it too. The place is small but very cozy and warm and nicely decorated. Balthazar is a super welcoming, relaxed and friendly guy without a nasty attitude (which is hard to find in A’dam) and he’ll make sure you leave satisfied and happy! Our experience and the service here were really good. My fiancée and I are both from the Caribbean, so when I found a place in Amsterdam that served our local alcohol, we were really excited to visit—especially since it's rare to find it even in the States. The only downside for us was the serving size and the price. Each pour was basically a small shot that didn’t even fill half of the tasting glass. I would’ve appreciated a bit more rum to really enjoy the experience, but I understand that many of the spirits are sourced from around the world.
