45 Yummie Sushi & Bowls — Restaurant in Amsterdam

Very surprised and pleased by this joint. Loved the sushi. It was neither expensive, nor cheap. Meanwhile, the sushi was very fresh. Only the tuna sashimi could have done with a little less odor.

It took my order over an hour to arrive to a destination 1 KM away from them. Hence the 4 stars.

Edit: Just received my 4th order from 45 Yummie Sushi! Ate it together with my friend who is allergic to eggs. The sushi was great, although it was falling apart. My egg-allergic dinner guest developed a (mild) rash shortly after finishing dinner. I remember checking for allergens and egg was not mentioned for any of the things we ordered. I’m wondering if they mistakenly believe mayonnaise is egg-free. It definitely didn’t taste like vegan mayonnaise to me (my friend doesn’t know the difference since he’s never had normal mayonnaise). My friend only has a mild allergy and we already knew the food could be cross-contaminated, so he’ll be fine. But I really would like to hear from 45 Yummie Sushi & Bowls. The sushi was great and deserves 5 stars and many other reviews will confirm this. However I also went for the duck pancake which was quite disgusting. The duck was 75% thick chewy fat and the portion of duck was tiny compared to the generous amount of salmon they put on the sushi, and there was barely any sauce and loads of shredded salad. I could have seen this coming because now I see it is the only item on the large menu with duck, but the difference in quality between the sushi and the pancake shocked me a bit. It’s like it came from different restaurants.

I really didn’t know if i should give 3 or 4 stars but I went for 4 as a gesture of goodwill and will reorder the sushi only, and hope I don’t regret it in...

Delicious food. I've found this place on a trip with my partner and the first time (yes, we went there more than once in a week) we arrived 30mins before the closing time, yet they still absolutely accepted to make us our food.
