I think the burgers are absolutely great. Also the pasta an salmon. Very very good and reasonably priced. What surprised me that there was only one waiter to serve the entire restaurant… hence service was slow. almost all one star reviews on google maps for Watts Hub are based on the bad service, which I can imagine. Last time i ate here the waiters werent too eager either and shorthanded. But the food is great and so are the beers and the atmosphere. I strongly recommend the owner of this establishment: hire more and more eager waiters in order to provide your customers with the service they deserve and prevent one star reviews which really harm your overall rating and potential new costumers. I STILL grant FIVE STARS because the food was really good!!!

I tried the “grill it - salmon” and I have to say the sauces were godly! Also, I tried the avocado burger. And I have a serious critique for such a tasty treat. The temperature difference between the components of this burger was a bit too much. I think if they can maybe take some of the ingredients out of the fridge for them to get to room temperature as the order is placed, the difference would be more reasonable. The fries are tasty. The burger itself very tasty. However, I would reorder the grill it salmon sandwich before I order the burger. (I must say the grill it had a predominant tomato sauce that was just incredible… I ate it separately so I could savor the taste!) the place’s vibe is very nice. And the staff are super friendly.

Ordered the breakfast platter, but didn't consume any of it, except the coffee and orange juice, which seemed to be the only fresh things in the building. The cheese was dried, the sausage and bacon were cold and covered in congealed fat, When asked for an egg that wasn't boiled black or cold, I received a new one, which had the same issues. In the end, I didn't have to pay for anything, as I had not eaten anything. However, my friend who got the same platter with the same problems, was charged full price. He did not complain as much as I did, but he also didn't eat anything. The service is this place's only saving grace, as the waitress was very understanding and apologetic. I just feel sorry for her to have to deal with the backlash for the complete incompetence of the kitchen staff.

Update on my last review: Went on the following morning and had the same breakfast. Person serving us didn't seem happy or interested in serving us but oh well still enjoyed before. Total came to around 29 euros. Didn't want the change so asked if they had a tip jar or such. Proceeded to sarcasticaly say "wooo, I can quit my job and live off of this now" laughing along with the other server. Old Review: 4 Stars Lovely breakfast in the morning, slightly on the expensive side but makes up for the taste, I had a lovely watts scrambled egg with bacon and my friend had pancakes. We came back later to have dinner, I had a great Pappardelle pasta and my friend had chicken strips which were very delicious. My pasta was 19 euros and felt a little expensive but overall it was very tasty.

I've seen many bad reviews specially about staffing. I personally never had a bad experience at Watts Hub. They've always very attentive and caring to me. But I could understand that some people might have different expectations. Amsterdam is going through a staffing crisis, and it's difficult to find reliable professionals to work. It requires a little patience. I've tried many things from the menu and I found it quite decent. The drinks are good, with good portion and good presentation. The highlight in my opinion was the Black Angus burger. I ordered with a extra supplement and it was worth every bite. Very good portion and presentation. The burgers were in the perfect temperature, and the bread was super crispy and not soggy.

It was a great place to catch up with friends we had not see in years. Cosy atmosphere, nice decor and we could hear each other speak. We had two cocktails, Mango margarita and something with ginger, they were very well presented and kicked a punch...they were excellent! We introduced our friends bitterballen. They were enjoyed. For mains, Chicken Saté, a plate of mixed fried Dutch snacks and a couple of meat pasta dishes. All good. Although there were only two staff when we arrived, a waitress and the chef, service was good. Another member joined later.
