I had high hopes and was looking forward to fish and chips that looked like the photos online and was disappointed. The fryer oil appears to not have been changed in quite some time. The fish came out rather dark and not that tasty unless you like the taste of overheated cooking oil. The drink glasses were really small so be prepared to order refills often. The fries were also just average I had high hopes thinking of my experience in Amsterdam and this was no comparison to Amsterdam Frites. I say this because they advertised them as Frites and offered peanut sauce which is one of my favorite sauces. Now the service was slightly above average, not poor like the food. The atmosphere was okay if you don't mind dining right next to a busy intersection and the tables and chairs were not very comfortable. I do plan on going back and trying them again but it will not be the fish and chips. Everyone can have a bad night and the other reviews cause me to want to give them another chance. I did ask about dessert to give yet another chance to be impressed and was advised all they had was ice cream with a look that seemed to communicate don't try it. On a positive note, I need to add that I wanted fish and chips for my main but wanted to try the peanut sauce I tried to order Frites with peanut sauce as an appetizer and the waitress was kind enough to advise me that I could just get peanut sauce with the chips that come with my entree. I am hoping for a much better quality of food on my second trip as I don't think many of my other issues can or will...

Stopped into this place last Tuesday evening. They close the kitchen at 1130 I believe. I arrived around 1030. Bar tender/ waitress was nice. I sat at the bar so that I wouldn’t be a nuisance to her having to come around the bar to serve me and she was involved in conversation with a co worker or friend of hers. She gave me a menu and the box with salt and pepper and I asked for a glass of ice water and placed my order. My ice water never came. A guy name Steph approached me and asked if I wanted to a drink and I ordered a Tito’s and pineapple and it came right up. Food came out again brought out by Steph and the bar tender is still running her mouth with this other woman. They tell me to enjoy, and as I am finishing plates I find them not moving and the waitress is still carrying on her conversation meanwhile I am running out of space and I still don’t have my water so I have to ask again for it. She bring the water but doesn’t clear the plates. No problem. Steph comes back out and I have to ask him for the bill and pay him. I believe she had a problem because I only left $5 but I didn’t even get that in service from her. By the way the fish is really greasy, not sure what kind of batter they use but it need significant change and seasoning or ask for it to be seasoned with salt and pepper before they fry it. Chips are good. The chicken Schwarma is also good with the garlic sauce. If i went back it would be for the chicken kabob...

It's ok easy parking, food mediocre, lazy staff, had to ask for refills, had to ask for dip for my fish and chips, had to flag down my waitress for dressing for my salad which tasted like dirty dish water. I asked for a water the waitress left another girl who sat us asked if we were ok I asked her for water she walked back to the bar where the first waitress was she asked her about my water the girl rolled her eyes unfortunately the place was not busy and we were sitting right there. Oh and the salad I received had egg on it. The egg was cut in half one side up with yoke the other flipped down no yoke. Just seemed off. Also flagged down for the check. Just wanted to leave. The weirdest part the first woman that sat us when giving my boyfriend the menu she touched his hand and we sat on the same side of the bench she leaned in between us to take our orders very close to our faces "personal space". She also touched his shoulder the funny part I don't know about the menu's initially. She walks over and my boyfriend leans in kissing me putting his arms on me. He tells me she is weirding him out!! I can't stop laughing poor boy he is very conservative and grew up very sweet. I said it's probably in her nature or culture to be flirty. No worries. I also don't drink so if you are the kind to get weird while drinking or feel some kind of way. About your man! Haha...

Cafe 080 is situated away from hustle and bustle of beach resorts and it is not a place where you will stumble to, rather go there with an intent. However, if the intent is solely their food, you should probably skip this resturant. We were served rather dry chicken shnitzle with fries and watered coleslaw. Burger plate was bland and overpriced for what you receive. We were in an agreement that Mickey D's would have been a better option. On other hand, cafe 080 has a very nice outdoor space where ppl could gather for drinks, especially since it is open late hours. Our server was very sweet and polite. Also, I would be careful walking around that area. We saw number of dogs wandering around, some in packs. They actually seem very nice, but you never know.

A must try !!! Genuinely was better food then most of the tourist restaurants in the area. Has a more local and Aruban touch in my opinion. We had the fish and chips and the german flat bread- vegetarian. It was hands down better then the god awful overpriced $100 Italian meal we had next to the Hyatt Resort… It was also half the price ! Ask for the papaya based hot sauce for a very nice flavor to your food. Servers are also very friendly but a few didn’t speak english so just be patient with them. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is the house made drinks were just ok. They can do better in that department, but the food is phenomenal and very affordable !

Great little bar. Great fries and legitimate Dutch snacks. Buckets of Balashi are reasonably priced. We've eaten here twice in the last two weeks and have enjoyed it both times. My wife made a mistake and ordered Nachos. They were well made and high quality, but my wife is very specific about what kind of Mexican food she likes and it's just possible that ordering Mexican in a Dutch restaurant on Aruba wasn't the wisest choice for her. The second time we ordered the $13.50 fish and chips platter. It was amazing... Tender flaky fish, great fries, amazing homemade tartar sauce which was almost like a thick ranch with lots of herbs. Loved it.
