Nos Clubhuis — Restaurant in Aruba

I have tried to like this place for years but every time there’s issues . This time we stopped for drinks one night and there was hardly anyone there and it was hard to get a drink at the bar. The bartender was not friendly at all and we did not feel welcome there. It was early evening . There was a lady who just set up and starting singing who was very good. If the service would have been slightly good we would have stayed all evening and spent a lot of money on food and drinks. But it wasn’t so we left . We came by again later in the week at about 9:30 for a late dinner and cocktails to give it another try . We asked the hostess downstairs about getting pizza and she said downstairs at Hadicurai they had it but not upstairs . She was sweet and we talked to her for a bit about the differences in the restaurants. So we decided to go upstairs and I would get something to eat and have a few drinks while we waited for a pizza to go for my husband . We walked upstairs and the staff was once again rude and said they were closing . The website says they are open until 12 and the signage downstairs says they’re open until 11. They can close whenever they want but need to make the advertising correct and train their staff to be polite no matter what . Went here last night for supper with a group of 5. The food, atmosphere and customer service were top notch. Food is causal, not fancy. and reasonably priced. They have live music, happy hour and incredible views from their second floor location. We ordered appetizers and a main each with some drinks. The cosmos were absolutely the best the girls have ever had. The mains came before the appetizer so we said just cancel the appetizer because the main was a lot of food. The waitress apologized and admitted that she forgot to put the appetizer order in. We said no big deal. She offered us the appetizers for free as part of the apology. Again we said thanks but no because there was more than enough food but thank you for the offer. When we got the bill, they took 10 percent off without us asking. We were already more than satisfied with their apology that we totally didn't expect that.

So many good things to say about this place. Special mention to Maya and Ella.

The food was great here but our waitress was very very slow. We were welcomed and seated quickly when we first arrived. Our waitress came over and our order was taken right away. Our food came out at a reasonable amount of time but after that we never saw our waitress again. We would have liked another drink but she never came back to our table and we had to flag another waitress down just to get our check. *In her defense-The restaurant was super busy at lunch. Just a headsup- The music is super loud so it is definitely not a place if you want to sit back, relax and just talk. When you are here you get a total bar vibe.
