My preferred new place in Breda .Went twice this week to be able to try more dishes . The service is very friendly & nice but a bit slow . Probably a bit overwhelmed. You are lucky if you get a table without reservation. The good think it’s open early so very convenient I recommend to reserve on line as it might be full when you get there as also breakfast for the guests of the Botanical Hotel . You will have a time slot so up to 1,5 hours is what you can stay . The place is very pretty and lots of good vibes. Beautiful decoration. The menu has lots of options so it’s necessary to go a few times to be able to try them out . They also have variety of plant milk options which is a plus nowadays.Clean & relaxing bathrooms which is always a plus , as you sit you can hear birdies which is actually quite a change of scenery for a bathroom. They also have a garden , but I preferred inside to be honest . The food is excellent and well presented. I was only disappointed that the green juice was not fresh but bottled which i am not very fond of . And for the kids choice I think the Nutella toast is quite expensive for what it is . We ordered scrambled eggs which is already served with toast , so I think they could be more flexible adding a Nutella there for kids and dont oblige you to order an extra Nutella toast which is 4€ . Yes is nice with the...
Read moreFrom the moment we were seated, the service was shockingly rude. The waitress abruptly dropped the menus on our table and walked away, completely ignoring me even as I called her twice to place our drink orders. She only returned when I stood up and directly asked her why she hadn’t taken our order and why she had thrown the menus at us in such a disrespectful manner.
Her response was dismissive and condescending: “You told me you wouldn’t order drinks.” When I clarified that we had wanted to order, she coldly replied, “You asked for the menus, I gave them to you, and since you didn’t order drinks, I left.” Her tone was rude, and despite adding a forced “please” at the end of each reply, it was clear that she had no intention of treating us with basic courtesy.
I felt humiliated by the way she treated me, my mother, and my 12-month-old baby—especially since it was clear that this mistreatment was directed only at us. Her attitude was completely unprofessional and unacceptable in a customer service setting.
Frustrated and upset, I decided to leave. Before doing so, I approached the manager to request the cancellation of my order and to inform him that we would not be staying.
This was an incredibly disappointing experience, and I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone who expects to be treated with even a basic...
Read moreIn short: good place, nice food, pretty affordable, would come again.
And for the longer review: Went here with my brother, the food was really good (we shared the original french toast with banana and bacon & the roasted bell pepper), everything was flavourful and the prices were not too crazy. The only slight downside was the fact that it was a bit noisy inside, but it wasn't too big of a problem. The staff was really nice as well, maybe it would be an idea to give them a little pin on their shirt so you know who speaks English, Dutch or both (it wasn't an issue for me, but the people at the table next to me were slightly struggeling with what language to use to their waitress).
Food we had: Orignal French toast with bacon and banana Roasted bell pepper with arugula, hummus and chickpeas 2x tea Citron presse Espresso Spent...
