Bali Mesari — Restaurant in Eindhoven

As someone who has lived in Bali for a long time and always considered it home, dining at Bali Mesari restaurant reminded me of the home I left behind. Every dish served here boasts authentic Balinese flavors, from the refreshing rujak and plecing to the hearty jukut ayam and crispy perkedel jagung, and even the savory sate kambing - none of them disappoint. It's top-notch quality, truly.

I want to extend my gratitude to Bu Ayu, the talented chef who prepared such scrumptious meals and made me feel homesick in the best possible way. I've heard that the restaurant is owned by a Balinese woman and her Dutch husband, and I hope their hard work in bringing Bali to us all is rewarded generously.

Despite its small size, the restaurant has an intimate and welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend making a reservation before coming, as the place gets quite busy. It opens in the afternoon, and the sound of Balinese gamelan music adds to the serene dining experience. It feels like being transported back to my beloved island.

We visited this restaurant and received a very warm welcome and service. Ordered the menu for 2 people with some signature dishes, it was delicious and we could luckily take the leftovers home because it was so much more than we could eat. Toen we binnenkwamen was er 1 tafel met mensen (volgensmij waren het vrienden want de eigenaar en familie zat aan dezelfde tafel te eten) we hebben besteld en kregen na 5 minuten kroepoek met sate saus je zou denken, daar kan niet veel fout mee zijn, nou dan denk je verkeerd want de sate saus was eigenlijk gewoon pindakaas. En na een half uur wachten kregen we loempia’s ,die we overigens niet besteld hadden, nog een half uur later kregen we eindelijk onze rijsttafel. Wij dachten dat het een heerlijke rijsttafel zou worden vanwege het lange wachten. Maar dat bleek niet zo te zijn, er zat aan sommige dingen een zure smaak en dan weer de state stokjes met die “heerlijke” sate saus. Update van 2 uur later: ik bespaard je de details maar heb enorme maagklachten en maagkrampen. Dus, Leuk tentje om te zien maar leuker on er langs te lopen We hadden bestel de rijsttafel speciaal: 2/10 rijsttafel: Nasi Goreng en Witte Rijst Loempia Kip Rendang Babi Ketjap Ayam Sisit Sate Ayam Gado...
