King Thai Restaurant — Restaurant in Eindhoven

Dear King Thai, Thanks for spoiling our early Valentine's dinner.

The food was okay, but the service was very bad. When we got a SMALL bowl of rice for TWO people, we immediately told the waiter that we would like to get another bowl of rice. Sadly we had to REMIND them to bring the rice. So there we were, as our food was getting cold, to get a little bit of rice. A waitress dropped by a (reallllly)small scoop of rice, we replied (again!) that it wouldn't be enough. The waitress said that they were out of cooked rice and that it would take just a couple of minutes to get a fresh batch of rice. After waiting for over 20 minutes (not eating, just staring at the food as it is getting colder and colder), we asked again about the rice, the rice was stil not done. It took them over 35minutes to get us a bowl of rice. By this time our food was completely cold ! And in these 35 minutes they ignored us completely, not even offering their excuses or offering us a drink. What kind of THAI restaurant does not have RICE? The staff blamed it on the kitchen, but then who is responsible for the bad service we got. Such a shame!

At the end we had to pay for our dinner...

The service staff that took our order failed to tell us tap water was chargable as we asked and she say yes,they provide. To our dismay we were charged 8 euro just for tap water with few leaves of mint n 2 slices lemon. We did not see the beverage menu to begin with. To make matter worst the lady that works behind the scene rudely told us how can they give free when she has to pay for the mint, etc.etc. 8 euro for 2 bots tap water it's hell lot of money. We could have order beer or other beverages.We felt cheated as we were not told and she could handle the situation more professionally without pissing us off. Frankly speaking we have better Thai food back home,bigger portion too, if not for my daughter's craving we would have gone to another restaurant. This will be my last visit here!!! I rather give business to people who are honest ...

We are really unhappy tonight for the experience in this restaurant.

6PM: we arrived at the restaurant, the employee told us we have to finish the food at 8PM because of no reservation.

7:15PM: finally the food was served after we waiting for 1h. No apologies from them at all! The other tables got food earlier than us and they arrived later than us!

7:45PM: we are notified to leave after 10min-15min. We have only had food for half an hour. We explained that they served the food so late and we couldn't finish food at 8PM. No apologies from them. They were so impolite and asked us to leave.

8PM: we left the restaurant. 48 euro per person and we were not satisfied with both food and their attitude.

Such a terrible experience and we will never come...
