My recent dinner at Restaurant Goyvaerts in Eindhoven was nothing short of extraordinary. I went for the 6-course tasting menu with wine pairing, and it turned into an unforgettable culinary journey. Every course told its own story, with the chef demonstrating both technique and creativity. The pacing was perfect — enough time between courses to appreciate each flavor without feeling rushed or overly full. Highlights included a beautifully delicate fish dish and a slow-cooked meat course that melted in the mouth. The wines chosen to accompany each plate were cleverly matched; the sommelier provided concise but insightful explanations, making the experience even more engaging. It showed that the restaurant values harmony between food and wine as much as presentation. Service was attentive and personable, and the staff clearly took pride in their work. The atmosphere struck a fine line between elegant and relaxed, ideal for an evening of refined dining. By the end of the meal, I felt as though I had genuinely experienced something crafted with passion from start to finish. Goyvaerts is the kind of restaurant that reminds you why dining out can be such a joy. I’ll absolutely return for another...
Read moreThis is now my third update as Goyvaerts as moved from the fancy part of what is essentially still the towns main bar street to a nearby chapel slightly outside of the center.
We were excited to see if they had managed to keep up their high standards in this new setting. If you had anything to complain previously it might of been the rather tight fit which their former restaurant was, conversely, they now have a sea of space. The spacious and tastefully decorated restaurant is relaxing and private. The playlist of soft beats remains as it always did and a massive wine rack divider shields you from the bar and kitchen. We can only imagine what goes on there to require such measures ;)
As always though, Goyvaerts did not disappoint in any way and it would be hard to find any criticism. Several excellent and very interesting but not over-the-top courses lead up to a main. We have noticed over our visits that the main course always is less adventurous than the courses leading up to it. The main course does not disappoint though as in our experience it is of unbelievable quality.
So, yes, Goyvaerts has only grown with their location switch. Hope to be back soon for more butterflies...
Read moreDining at Goyvaerts in Eindhoven was an absolute delight from start to finish. I opted for the six-course tasting menu with wine pairing, and it truly exceeded my expectations. Each dish was beautifully plated and creatively balanced — a perfect combination of local ingredients, modern techniques, and bold yet elegant flavors. The menu flowed seamlessly, from the delicate seafood starter to the rich, perfectly cooked meat course, and finally a light, refreshing dessert. The wine pairing was exceptional; each glass complemented the dish it accompanied without ever overpowering it. The sommelier clearly put a lot of thought into the selections and explained each pairing with genuine enthusiasm. The service was warm, professional, and never intrusive — the team managed to strike that ideal balance of attentiveness and relaxation. The ambiance at Goyvaerts also added to the experience: refined but not pretentious, with soft lighting and comfortable seating that made the evening feel special. This was easily one of the best fine dining experiences I’ve had in Eindhoven. I would highly recommend the 6-course menu to anyone who wants to experience the full creative potential of...
