Restaurant Aan 't Plein — Restaurant in Haarlem

I was in Haarlem for two days with my family and stumbled upon this restaurant in the afternoon. It looked really inviting and the Chef‘s Special on the board made me curious, so I made a reservation for the same night. The food was simply outstanding. I have never eaten such a delicious fish dish in my life and the rest of my family were also highly impressed. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. That's why we went to eat here again on the second evening and were more than satisfied this time as well. A great restaurant that I would highly recommend and I will definitely be back on my next visit...

Okay place. But the smoke of the people outside really protruded into the main dining area inside.

The burger was average at best. It was a literal tower of cheap meat, lack of sauce, and even if I'd be a pelican, I wouldn't be able to open my mouth far enough to take a normal bite from it.

Fries were okay, and at least I did not leave hungry after a long day of travel; they allowed us to order even when we arrived at 21:00, that was a plus.

Bottom line: Fine if you're hungry in a pinch, but I would recommend to order anything...

The worst restaurant in Haarlem! We waited for our order for over an hour from 20:20 to 21:30, when I asked the waitress how many more minutes we had to wait, she said, I don't know, we are serving a banquet on the second floor. Then I asked for the bill, and she said that I have to pay for the dishes that are being prepared, otherwise the owner will deduct them from her salary.
