Placed an order 18:30, tried calling around 20:00 after food didn’t show up despite the app updating etc as usual. Food didn’t show up.

Additionally to this review, here is another experience.

Foods is superb, best takeaway Indo food in Haarlem. Customer service/delivery makes the delicious food not worth it in the end.

Ordered at least 6 times and not once has it arrived in the time frame. Always around 1-1.5 hours late which is quite simply unacceptable. The problem they have is that they leave the ordering system open on the likes of Thuisbezorgd/Uber and so on, and try to capture as many orders as possible then work towards them knowing full well that the order times will not be met. They then silence/shut off the telephone when you try to call them (tested this as I walked into the store with the phone ringing, but I could not hear their phone ringing in the store).

The manager/owner has a real anger-management issue, he has no control over the emotions and will direct his anger to anyone nearby him. Yesterday, he raised a stapler to me threatening to kill me/cut me. It was honestly insane, called the police to deal with this guy as he was clearly unhinged by stress or something.

Would avoid this place now, having been each week for 6 weeks, they now lose a valued customer who used to speak highly of their food to others and encouraged people to try their food, no more, they lost that opportunity by not respecting customer time & complaints in a professional manner and resorting to violence & hate speech (called me af*ggot for some strange reason).

Avoid this at all costs, unless you are willing to wait 2-2.5hrs for your food. Oh and don't think that if you pre-order for a set-time, they will deliver on that, that was my experience last night knowing they are slow with delivering, I set the order time to later so that it would not be late, but made...

Been coming here for the best Indonesian take-out food in Noord Holland for 30 years now. They never fail to deliver. Tastes are as good as on Java itself. The owners hail from Bogor, near Jakarta, and you can tell. My favorites would be their sambal goreng peteh and sambal goreng eggplant. Recently discovered that they also make a mean roti chicken. They deserve the 4.6 rating. The tempe and rendang beef which we bought were really good. We also bought a tub of red sambal. Wow! This shop sells other good stuff as well. Check it out. We will definitely go back for our fix of spicy rendang...
