Restaurant L'Hirondelle — Restaurant in Haarlemmermeer

not sure why nobody is giving comments here, stars and pictures without any line of comments are meaningless, so for a change...

have been here for the 1st time again after ~10 years, recognizing this place as one of my favorites in the past , maybe owners have changed a few times since then...

I would still give it a 5 stars for the nice location and the friendliness of the staff, all still perfect and seems a perfect place to enjoy a few beer on the terrace in summer.

But unfortunately I can't say that for the main objective of a restaurant - the food!

Soup of the day, Tomato, rather water than anything else. Main course Entrecote was just not doable, perfectly cooked but the knife just did not go thru and either did my teeth. Poorest quality of meat ( side dishes were perfect, though). I was offered to get a new one, but declined since I doubted it would be any better - where should it have come from? But to be fair, the friendly trial is what would come under the 5* service.

Since the pricing is not "cheap" either but still reasonable, I would recommend to rather add 1 or 2 EUR which is still in the range, but get quality beef instead. This might help to avoid surprises.

I would probably still give it a try while in H'd the next time, but for now I am...

Relaxed dinner in L’Hirondelle.

Restaurant is located next to park and pond. Its very classy and you really feel like that you are now in the better restaurant.

We ordered their aperitives (8€ per drink) and these were very tasty. The we ordered some soup of the day (7€) with breads (6€). For the main course we ordered Sate with fries and Parmigiana. Soup and bread were very good, but something was missing with the main courses. Sate was decent and Parmigiana was very odd to have weird and bad tasting vegetable cheddar cheese on to it.

Their wine list is nice and they were very professional when we were choosing right wines for the main courses.

My mother and I were here on 28th Aug 2017. We arrived at 9:30 pm . We were starving when we sat on the table. A waiter didn't came to us for a while. We asked him for times ... finally he came in rush ... and my mother said to him FINALLY he got angry 😂 he told I have alot of to do you are not alone here ... after that he left and sent his collegue to give an order. She was nice . I don't know why she didn't come from the first. We ordered 2 plates of fish with mashed potato. It was delicious but very small portion . It didn't worth that price. We paid to this restaurant the highest price in compare of others during our trip. They made us a bad...
