Flavourless, dry/burned lifeless pizzas, moulded chili oil and pretty bad service.
After months of waiting to try this place we ordered a Margherita for the ultimate pizza test (Tuesday evening not busy). The pizza was dry and flavourless. A Margherita is the best way to test the sauce flavour of a restaurant, this one I give a 2/10 rating, it tasted like nothing ... Also we got chili oil and there was moldy chili in it. We only saw it after eating most of our pizza.. We woke up the next daywith bad stomachs. I went to the kitchen after to explain to them they are cooking their pizzas too long in the oven and they had a comment for everything. There was no chef present, the pizzas are made by the serving staff and they aren't even ready to learn. Such a disappointment because with an oven like that you should be making the most insanely amazing pizzas... But instead of taking the feedback and tips they just got annoyed. We got the bill and after them knowing the chili oil experience they still had the audacity to charge us for the pizza.... I was so shocked. In the end they took the bill away but the attitude, the lack of professionalism, the lack of good pizza and lack of hygiene is disappointing. This place has potential!! With a good vibe, trained staff in customer service the way an Italian place should be and trained staff to make good pizza and a better sauce base, this place could be...
Read moreWhat a pleasant surprise! We ended up here by accident after our usual pizzeria was full, and it turned out to be a great choice. The pizzas were delicious, made with fresh dough and ingredients, and the portion sizes were perfect.
The service from the waitresses was excellent, and the restaurant’s atmosphere and decor made the experience even better.

Read moreEcht een gemiste kans is dit, deze nieuwe pizzeria in het monumentale Gooiland Theater in Hilversum. Allereerst het eten: ronduit beroerde pizza's. Zwart verbrande bodem ("Maar, proeft u het?" was het antwoord). Pesto uit een potje. Een paar verdwaalde champignons (ook potje?) als extra 'funghi'. Waarschijnlijk komen de bodems ook van de groothandel... want zachte randen en een onderkant als een vaatdoekje. In ieder geval werden de pizza's koud geworden geserveerd op een kromgetrokken dikke houten plank (rustiek?). En dan het interieur... Van het monumentale karakter van 'Het 'Nieuwe Bouwen' is werkelijk niets over (een krikkemikkig aangebracht systeemplafond, stoelen van de Leen Bakker, etc.). Maar dat mag, want het is een pizzeria. Maar dan nog... hang de in drieën geknipte poster (waarom?!) van een Fiat 500 dan op zijn minst recht!
