Restaurant Vivaldi — Restaurant in Hilversum

We went to the restaurant for high tea and sat on the terrace, where we were the only guests that midday. It was peaceful and not crowded, which made it very comfortable. The service was excellent—our waiter was extremely attentive and did his best to make us feel welcome.

We appreciated the variety of teas offered with the high tea. Although we didn’t try many, we were given a different tea with each round, which was a lovely touch. At the beginning, we were served a glass of Prosecco, which we exchanged for fresh orange juice.

A pleasant surprise was the small cup of asparagus soup we received, even though it wasn’t listed on the high tea menu. As for the snacks, they weren’t particularly special, and the portions were not large—but definitely enough to feel full.

When we mentioned that we have a pregnant person around the table (we forgot to mention it in advance and we have got sandwiches with carpaccio), the staff kindly brought out a few extra sandwiches as a substitute, which we really...

Tsja.. wat moet ik er van zeggen. Als je 20 jaar terug wil in de tijd, dan ga je hierheen. Niks ten nadele van het personeel, ze doen hun best. Dat is opzich best een prestatie als van je verwacht wordt om in dit troosteloze interieur te moeten werken (restaurant). We hebben er een drankje gedaan. De koffie werd geserveerd met een klein schaaltje met daarop melk, suikerklontjes en ongeveer 20 stevia/zoetstof-sticks. Voor het geval 1 niet genoeg zou zijn. Zou de appeltaart diepvries zijn? Wellicht, ijskoud was deze zeker in de kern, warm van buiten.

Het heeft mijn inziens een hoog Van der Valk gehalte van 20 jaar geleden. Houten stoelen, papieren placemats. Dat is gewoon niet meer van deze tijd.

Nogmaals, respect voor het personeel, maar man man wat een droevig interieur. Daar is nog zoveel uit te halen..
