OMG died and went to heaven.

Okay. It's not fine dining. Food is pre-cooked. Chilled and re-heated in a microwave. It's not a secret and they don't hide it. It is also not uncommon for the Nederlands and this style of eatery. However. Before you judge. Try it! I used the social deal (Groupon-a-like) and have had a plethora of poor experiences with that recently in the area. This place blew me away with quantity, choice, veriarty, and flavours. 💓 The lamb 'curry' was particularly memorable and sufficiently spicy for most I suspect but the deal came with a boiled egg, chicken, potato/aloogobi, beans, and some other combo's. More than enough and then the generous roti as well. Flavour combinations were incredible alone and combined. If this were not enough, a small dish of sambal (Dutch for chilli sauce) is also provided and unusually for Nederlands, yellow and not red. Equally unusual for the Nederlands, the Sambal has some serious chilli power to it. Not for the faint hearted and I've only experienced these flavour combinations in the Seychelles previously. Suffice to say I bought a jar at €7 to take home after. Money well spent in my opinion. Found this place while on holiday in Leiden. From the outside you would be skeptical about the food if you are not use to this type of food. However once you taste the food, you are happy you decided to go with this restaurant. You can clearly taste the 'Home made' feature of this restaurant, in every bite. The 'loose roti' is delicious, a must have. Bathroom located upstairs, didn't visited it but the fact that they have one is a plus in my books. 4 out of 5 stars for the simple fact of the smallness of the location, which made it feel 'dusty' more than it actually is. BEST VEGETARIAN LUNCH EVER! You NEED to try “broodje vegetarisch” if you want to go to heaven and be happy all day long. The tempeh is so good you will be in shock. The girl that serves you at the counter is so sweet. They food in general is always good. It feels like a home made meal. Even though it is precooked and reheated in the microwave it gives that “eating those amazing leftovers from yesterday’s dinner” vibes, and I am here for it. Do not judge before you try.
