Sushi Bento — Local services in Leiden

We live in the neighbourhood and wanted to try Sushi Bento. After the food was served we saw it were small portions but nothing to be very critical about. However, when we wanted to pay we were surprised to learn that the payment was only either via cash or bank transfer. No debit or credit cards were allowed, they didn’t even have a machine for it. The biggest letdown was that we had to pay 1,50 for tap water. Each. I bought sushi here because it was recommended as one of the best. Sushi seemed good, but when I tasted it wasn't that I expected, the pieces weren't the typical combinations that you expect to see, the flavour of the salmon didn't exist, the portions were too big to eat in one shoot and the rice it wasn't well cooked because the pieces were broken while you are trying to eat, soo uncomfortable. Sushi was ok but way too large rolls. I was happy to see that the crab was fairly fresh.

The staff was friendly and made sure we were ok.

The fried chicken was unfortunately burnt. I asked to get a new one after showing how burnt they were and that they weren’t fully covered.
