Friedt Maastricht — Restaurant in Maastricht

One of the freshest tasting chips/fries I’ve had recently. I try not to eat too much deep fried food, but had to go back before leaving Maastricht (when in Rome!)

Chips have the skin on, which gives the extra crisp and adds the depth to the flavour. I had fries with zuurvlees (Limburg regional ‘sour meat’ sauce), which was flavourful with the sweet and tangy undertone.

Croquets were also great, very crispy shell with the warm gooey middle. A good option to add especially in the winter or if you’re extra hungry.

Additional brownie point for the fact that they seem to fry everything after the order being placed. I’m also quite sensitive to the smell, but this place does not smell of old oil at all. A thumbs up for the sign of good frying joint 👍

All the staffs were lovely and helpful. English menu wasn’t available when I went, but they all explained everything to me in perfect English so just ask them if you have any questions.

Highly recommended as part of your Maastricht trip. I’ll be back again when I’m next...

Amazing fries! The service was also great, we had a really good recommendation which in turn I have to recommend. The fries with curry ketchup, mayo and onion are really special! The fries were so nice and crispy, with the skin on. 😍

The only downside is that at this time of year (end of September) there wasn’t any seating, but that’s to be expected because no one should enjoy fries in...

I came all the way to Maastricht from Cork Ireland to try these fries and can I just say 100% they were worth it. I came with a friend of mine and we were both flabbergasted by how good they were. Also a special shout-out to Ruben who provided us with amazing customer service and gave me some excellent recommendations on which sauce I should pair with my fries....
