Marres — Attraction in Maastricht

Our friend had reserved her birthday party in marres for over 6 months. The staff asked what dish from the main menu all the guests would want in advance. All the guests chose their dishes in advance and the order was passed on to the staff. Suddenly, one week before the birthday, (note that the restaurant was reserved 6 months before and guests booked tickets from other countries to attend) the staff claimed that individual orders even ordered earlier are „too complicated“ and that all the guests should swap to a menu that is at least 50 euros. We always liked to go to Marres for having a nice dinner in Maastricht but since they were trying to push us into a very expensive menu and became highly unprofessional in contact, it is hard to recommend. We booked a birthday dinner months in advance, clearly stating our preferences, everything was set.
