We wanted to celebrate mums birthday but the waitress completely ruined the evening with her horrible and extremely rude unprofessional attitude.
We arrived at the restaurant 5.10pm. The lady welcomed us and told us we could pick a table and sit where we want.
Mum wanted to sit upstairs so that's what we did. The waitress comes and I want to order starters while we think about our mains. The waitress actually said, you have to order everything at once and we can't order the mains afterwards. I responded with, so you want to tell me that after we have ordered, we can't order more food if we feel like it? She said yes but it might take longer if its busy. There were 3 tables seated at 5.10pm
Right....We proceed to order, the waitress actually says, no that's to much and told us to cut a dish. Weird ...but then she said that because we're sitting upstairs she had to walk up the stairs all the time which is inconvenient for her so for that reason it might take a bit longer. Which is obviously why she told is to cut a dish to make things convenient for her.I was getting very frustrated by the sevice but decided to stay quite and not ruin mums bday.
We waited until 6.15pm over an hour. In the meantime people around us were arriving and serviced food etc.. We asked for the food and the response was that she doesn't know how long before the food arrives . Upon we just decided to walk out and leave. Instead of offering apologies the waitress actually tried to argue aggressively back to me.
I'm furious that the birthday dinner for mum was ruined by such a rude, incompetent, inconsiderate, unprofessional waitress. I travel for work a lot and have visited restaurants all over the world for the last 15 years, however I can truly say that this waitress offered the worst service I have ever encountered in a restaurant...same goes for my father, mother and brother.
She should not be in that job because she clearly hates it. A...
Read moreThe food was absolutely fantastic. The chicken, as well as the paneer, was perfectly cooked; tender and chewy. The sauce was not oily, but fresh and full of taste. I requested a spicy version of a curry and got it; not too intense, but absolutely noticeable. Bonus points for their amazing vegetarian and vegan choices, this is rare, but very welcome. The drink menu is small, but decent. The waiting staff can be a bit absent and you'll have to reach out if you want to order something. Even though its location next to a theater is useful and the inside of the restaurant is quite relaxing, the surroundings are bland and industrial, being just outside a mall. You'll have to know that they're there.
All in all a recommendation for people who like Indian food and especially for people who are looking for delicious vegetarian...
Read moreNothing like Indian cuisine. I was raised in the UK and lived amongst Indian communities, my mentor in my first job was Indian, I used to eat with them on a regular basis. This food is either bland or it burns out your taste buds. Dishes that are originally spicy are not, you have to ask. What they do is add alot of chilli powder to a basis sauce. When I was there with my family, there were some Indian people who also were not happy with the quality of their dishes. Anyone who says this is good food clearly has no idea of Indian cuisine. Save yourselves the disappointment and avoid...
