Wills — Restaurant in Nieuwegein

Several times I had dinner here. The food was always very much to my satisfaction the meat is tender, the fish is fresh, the vegetables are prepared properly; you notice their products are of high quality. I was also very lucky to have a well-informed waiter all the evenings (5 in total) I was there. He had considerable knowledge of wine to advise us which wine to consume. Furthermore, the atmosphere is very cosy and enjoyable. The only difficulty I have, is with the portions. They are too large to eat an appetizer, a main and a dessert or even just two of the beforementioned courses. If the portions would be smaller (and the price adapted partially), I would be able to enjoy all courses. Nevertheless, from a quality and atmosphere point of view this is the best restaurant...

Hier met 7 personen gaan eten op een zaterdagavond. Om 18:30 gereserveerd, om 19u pas kunnen bestellen omdat er niet genoeg menukaarten waren. Weet niet of dit een truc is om de drank rekening te boosten maar komt op mij wat knullig over. Drie kwartier later kwam het voorgerecht, smaak was oké maar zeker niets bijzonders. Dochter van bijna 4 vocht tegen haar slaap toen om 21u het hoofdgerecht eindelijk kwam (patat met kroket, na veelvuldig vragen hoe lang het nog duurde). Overige hoofdgerechten kwamen iets later toen we eigenlijk op het punt stonden te vertrekken. Hoofdgerechten waren oké maar ook ook hier niets bijzonders, spareribs weinig smaak en de sausjes kwamen duidelijk uit goedkope flessen. Kipsaté was aan de zwarte kant, zalm was oké. Dessert kwam gelukkig heel snel nadat de bestelling opgenomen was. Om 22u waren we eindelijk klaar. Geen probleem als het druk is in een restaurant maar het minste wat je kunt doen is tijdens het wachten even je excuses aanbieden en aangeven dat het wat langer gaat duren, helaas niet gebeurd. Verder is de aankleding wel leuk echter is het extreem rumoerig en staat de muziek behoorlijk hard. Het is niet makkelijk om een gesprek te voeren met mensen die niet direct naast over recht tegenover je zitten. We waren hier gekomen omdat het blijkbaar één van de betere restaurants in Nieuwegein is maar voor ons was het een behoorlijke tegenvaller, wij komen hier...

We found this restaurant by coincidence..we saw the menu online and we immediately though let give it a try.. we were impressed! Atmosphere really nice, service also really good.. food was delishhh, although I ordered a Cesar chicken salad also and it was the only dish I found it didn't go well...too much dressing and the presentation of the romaine lettuce with some fried chicken didn't not go well.. but wow, the rest was superb.. I really recommend...
