Unfortunately, I am forced to leave a negative review. Over the past year, the quality of the salads here has deteriorated drastically.
I came here for lunch with my mom. A year ago, I used to order salads here – the portions were large and filling, and the ingredients were fresh. This time, however, we were served an almost empty plate. I am attaching a photo from a year ago as proof – back then, the salad was truly worth the money. Now, there is simply no point in expecting good food here.
I would also like to note the terrible quality of the ingredients. In the “Sydney” salad, the tomatoes were supposed to be sun-dried, but instead, they tasted stale and sour.
When we asked for the bill, the waiter asked if everything was tasty. I showed him the old photo and asked why the portions had become so small. In response, I received only a standard sweet smile and an inappropriate joke about portion sizes. I would like to point out that this type of “communication” with guests is completely unacceptable. I expected a clear explanation of the situation, not an attempt to brush it...
Read moreHorrible service. We waited for at least 1 hour to have breakfast. They brought us an incorrect order. They charged us incorrectly (a coffee twice and an extra salmon). We asked for the egg benedict to be without chives and they brought it to us with chives. We had to remind them three times to please bring us the orange juice we had ordered and it took them 45 minutes to bring it to us. At the time of paying, in addition to the bringing an invoice that was incorrect (in their favor of course), they did not accept a European bank debit card. My card has been accepted all over the world without problems but it seems that this establishment does not accept it. That is okay if that is their policy (in line with their bad customer service), but they should put up a sign saying that they do not accept international cards. A shame of service. I hope this review serves to show our dire experience...
Read moreA very cozy place with a nice atmosphere in the heart of the old city of Nijmengen. The cappuccino is delicious and not only is the ‘no-meat bruschetta’ good looking, but surprisingly tasty as well! The ginger lemonade and the strawberry spice one are two of the homemade lemonades the coffee place offers, which have an authentic flavour; the only thing that didn’t quite suit our taste was that they were a little bit too sweet and it would be nice if the beverages were served with straws. :) The interior of the café is so pretty and welcoming, alongside the friendly staff. However, the service was slightly slower for such a calm and not busy time of the day. The overall experience is positive, enjoyable...
