De Witwasserij — Restaurant in Nijmegen

I recently visited De Witwasserij, and it instantly became one of my favorite spots for a weekend brunch. I ordered a cappuccino and the Club Sandwich, and both were absolutely delicious! It was exactly what I needed to start the day off with the right foot.

The atmosphere at De Witwasserij is so relaxed and welcoming, making it the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a meal. The staff were incredibly friendly and always smiling, which made the experience even more enjoyable. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests. One of the highlights was the lovely terrace – a cozy and peaceful spot to soak in some sunshine while sipping on your coffee or enjoying your food. Whether you're catching up with friends or looking for a quiet moment alone, the ambiance here makes it a perfect choice.

Such a hidden gem! You walk in thinking you’re just grabbing a coffee — and then get completely wowed by the quality of the food, the warm service, and the unique concept. The coffee is truly excellent, the sandwiches are creative and delicious, and everything feels thoughtfully prepared.

It’s also a surprisingly great place to work, with a relaxed vibe and friendly staff. And the best part? You can do your laundry while enjoying your lunch — it’s practical and actually enjoyable, thanks to the high level of service they offer in both areas. Update: one of my favourite brunch/lunch spots in Nijmegen. I love their kimchi toast and the Vegan BLT. Their drinks are so good too, love the latte macchiato, love the matcha latte, love their lemonades. And the vibes are perfect, I love to sit there and read.
