The staff was very kind! (they even helped me deliver some flowers to surprise my partner). Nevertheless, the inside of the restaurant , if busy, is incredibly noisy and there’s not much room for intimacy as well, as the tables are really close together and very small. Despite that, however, it’s pretty charming and colorful, which we appreciated.
I’m Italian, I have been eating pasta since I can remember, and believe me when I say to you that the pasta they served was horrible ( please excuse my language but it was….). The portions were very small compared to the price (almost 20€ for a small portion of carbonara!! And I know it’s the Netherlands, but for the quantity, it’s so pricey you could eat the pasta in just a couple of scoops). The taste of my plate of carbonara was not that bad, and definitely not as bad as the taste of the ARRABBIATA. My girlfriend ordered it and 1st; the sauce was so liquid that we began to question if somebody just threw in the plate a tablespoon of tomato (barely cooked) with a lot water, raw garlic and lack of spice (even salt).
Finally, the pasta was so overcooked in both plates. This is actually pretty common in the Netherlands, and generally outside Italy to find. As an Italian, I really don’t appreciate overcooked pasta, but I can understand if is the preferred taste of some internationals. But I cannot justify the sauces, especially the arrabbiata.
We left the restaurant thanking the kind staff and although a bit embarrassed, we did leave our opinions of the food to the waiters, which replied...
Read moreVery warm atmosphere and the staff were truly the stars of the evening - they were so friendly, made jokes and we had so much fun with them! Food was very delicious and there were so many good options to choose from the menu. It’s perfect for a nice evening out with friends, although I wouldn’t recommend it for a date night, it got quite loud at one moment and sometimes you couldn’t hear the person opposite of you. But overall, a lovely experience and would definitely...
