Strik Patisserie Ziekerstraat — Restaurant in Nijmegen

This place surprised me. I placed an order for a baby shower cake via online order and called several times to confirm. I was told by Jacqueline, the order representative, that the cake would be made as ordered and they would place the baby booties I had brought with me on top of the cake for me during pick up. They assured me the cake would be packaged so I could take it to the baby shower (a 1 hour drive from Nijmegen to Utrecht).

At pickup, the staff said they could not place the baby booties for me as they had no buttercream...which is extremely odd for a bakery not to have this on site, and especially since I was told this would be done for us. They also DID NOT provide a box for the cake! I have never been told to take a cake from a bakery just exposed to the air without any package or box covering it! This was unacceptable and highly unprofessional. I asked repeatedly for a box and was told they did not have any and do not usually give boxes for cakes...? This was a baffling experience and the staff was very firm and unwilling to help come up with a solution.

If you want a professional job done that is worth the cost, DO NOT use strik patisserie. I ended up having to do their work for them and they were completely unapologetic not to mention misleading. Very disappointed in this highly unprofessional bakery and their poor...

Tried the VEGAN sticky chocolate-walnut cake - it was amazing! Served it as dessert during the Christmas dinner with my non-vegan family. They all loved it very much.

Very rich and delicious sticky chocolate ganache on top, this is a real treat for any chocolate lover.

Patisserie Strik - please expand your vegan assortment! I saw all the beautiful non-vegan cakes on display, and I am sure you can make vegan alternatives of these too.

Of course I am happy you offer two really good vegan options, but ideally, giving them a real platform and offering some show-stoppers that are vegan would be really awesome!

The price is fair too - not exorbitantly expensive to have cruelty-free cakes that look and taste gorgeous. No need to make them "healthy" - cakes can (and should) be indulgent: sweet, exciting, delicious, and you achieved just...

Strik Patisserie is a place where you will find a unique dessert for your appetite. Specifically in Nijmegen there are no many places where you can find this kind of dessert. There are many bakeries which make really good cakes either for lots of servings or single ones, but this one is more of a "red velvet" and "mocha" style. The prices are where they should be for such a dessert e.g expect to pay more or less €10 for a serving of two people who both have their own coffee and cake. Good quality, nice welcoming environment...
