Not great.. not even good.. From the outset, the hostess didn’t want to be there. She resented welcoming customers and many people (us included) had to get our own menu as she preferred to stay sitting behind her booth, looking at her phone. Mojito was US$11 and not made correctly, barely any mint and 2 wedge of lime - very sugary using lime cordial & lemonade, and lacked alcohol. The food made my partner sick. It tasted as though they were frozen & defrosted on repeat & then fried for service. Mayonnaise left out on tables in 35deg heat. We picked one up and it was full of water from the rain and hot from sitting in the sun. The location is prime and they have great potential, but everything is run down or broken and left to the elements to deteriorate further. Remove the broken umbrella, chairs and tables, treat your customers better, be nice and smile - it would make a great difference to the image. First impressions are lasting impressions..

After I went Diving today (pictures to come next week) I needed food with the little amount of time I had left before the cruise ship left. I didn't want somewhere super touristy and after passing on Lucy's, with the juicy Lucy, (because the Minnesotan in me came out) I decided to eat at Eetcafé - the Paddock because they had food in the local currency on the menu. I found out that section is specific to the Netherlands. Pictured is the baked oven flat bread made with aged Amsterdam cheese and tomato and lettuce. I also had a sampler of Dutch snacks; frickandel (a Dutch mini mincedeat hotdog with a curry), a kroket (deep fried breadcrumbs and meat), and chicken nuggets. I thought the frickandel tasted like scrapple from the Pennsylvania Dutch region.

Do NOT waste your time or $. Nice deck area, but the nice ends there. Ordered 2 Bloody Mary $10 each. Asked for spicy. Got unsalted tomato juice, a lime, twist of black pepper and if there was any vodka in there it was the weakest poor of the century. Gnawing on the paper straw would have been more satisfying. They should probably send the bartenders across the street to the Marriott so they can experience a proper cocktail. Just saw the owners response. Another reason to go elsewhere. It’s not about the $$. We went across the street paid a bit more but got a decently made cocktail Instead of the nasty drinks we were served at this establishment. So management. Do a better job…and please more people!

Our experience there is consistent with what other reviewers have said. They advertise all-you-can-eat ribs on Wednesdays and Saturdays and we went for that. Upon sitting, a waiter attended to us soon enough and was polite. My wife and I each ordered the ribs and our first rack arrived promptly. The ribs were good, not extraordinary, but nonetheless quite good. My wife typically eats little and was satisfied with just the one portion. I asked for another half-portion, which I think was reasonable. What derailed the experience for us is they made us wait over 1/2 hour for that extra portion!? The waiter kept passing by us with other people's ribs, even though we periodically checked with him, and he kept saying that it wasn't ready. The stuff is clearly ready to go in the kitchen, but it would seem that they purposely delay repeat orders as a deterrent for ordering more. If they don't want people to eat more than one plate, then they shouldn't offer all-you-can-eat. I had an appetite for ribs, not for marketing BS. If I'm wrong, then they can reply to this review and provide their side...

Advice: Do not get the grouper for 20$! It was absolutely a disgrace. My girlfriend and I both ordered it excited to get it. Well...sooo disappointed. Not only was the food a greasy slime of mushy nonsense, it took over 20 mins to even get a waitress to acknowledge us to even ask about drinks at the start. Horrible service... Food arrived.. took 2 bites and left it sit. Never offered an option for a second drink as the check was layed on the table without words. I guess it would be different if they were full; or "busy", but this was not the case. Had to walk up to to the counter to ask to pay my bill. Horrible service. The food could have just been a complete accidental mess up and uncooked by the cook, but the customer service was putrid. Yikes! First time in my life I felt a tip should have been zero. Maybe it was just the Grouper that night; old, left out, not sure but the food around us looked much more appealing. Cheers, but no...
