Aquarius at the Renaissance Marina Hotel in Aruba is a disappointing dining choice that fails to live up to its lofty price point. Despite the premium $60 per person price tag on Sundays, plus additional service fees, the overall experience is lackluster and not worth the steep cost.
The buffet is overcrowded, making it difficult for guests to even navigate the space comfortably. The flow of traffic around the central serving stations is haphazard, further adding to the chaotic atmosphere. While the offerings themselves are decent, nothing stands out as exceptional enough to justify the exorbitant price.
The chef's station, which is a potential highlight, is plagued by interminable lines, and by the time guests reach the front, many of the preferred options have been depleted. This leads to a frustrating experience, as diners are forced to settle for less desirable dishes.
The only redeeming aspect of the Aquarius experience is the exceptional service provided by the waitstaff. However, this alone is not enough to elevate the overall dining experience, which falls short of the high standards one would expect from a premium establishment.
Given the abundance of dining options in the area, I would strongly recommend exploring alternative restaurants that can provide a more satisfying and value-driven experience. Aquarius at the Renaissance Marina Hotel is a disappointing choice that fails to deliver on its...
Read moreFirst, this is a dinner review and we did not have the all inclusive package. If you dont have it be prepared to pay $50 per person plus a 15% service charge. You should honestly take that money and run down to barefoot where everything is 100x better and you'll be much happier. It should be known that the wait staff is very friendly. However. The food was very disappointing. My wife and I called ahead to get an idea about what was offered and asked at the restauraunt itself. We were told there were beef, chicken and seafood options available. My wife doesnt eat seafood so this seemed okay. There was no beef or chicken available at the buffet. Only pork, indian lamb and duck. They had a nice selection of salad choices. The seafood station offers many choices. I had the lobster and shrimp. My shrimp was cooked with the shells still on. Something I've never personally dealt with before. The lobster was barely warm as if it had been sitting for awhile. Potatoes and vegetables were good. Desert choices could have been better. Cheesecake tasted off. Fruit tarts were bland. Sherbert was good. Coffee was good. For the price paid expected it to be much better. My wife was charged seafood buffet price even though she cant eat it. Again, you're better off...
Read moreDefinitely will return for dinner, definately will reccomend to everyone we know in Aruba. My husband and I chose to try this restaurant for seafood after paying for a horrible, overpriced meal the night before at Giannis Italian for Frutti Di Mare seafood. From the moment we walked in, to the moment we left, the staff here was attentive and smiling. The food is absolutely amazing. Everything from all you can eat lobster, calamari, succulent shrimp, muscles, and a variety of other fishes which are cooked to order hibachi style. The food and salad bar were amazing. The salad bar includes many Mediterranean favorites such as an array of olives and artichokes in marinade. Tiki chicken, freshly carved lamb, cheese tortellini in which tasted to be in a cheese sauce made from a scratch roux. The ice cream here definitely tasted homemade as well as many other desserts like the warm toffee pudding to cure anyones sweet tooth. We did not try one item here that we didn't like. To the chefs, the management, and your team, thank you for the most amazing seafood meal we've ever enjoyed in...
