Markt 10 — Restaurant in Roermond

Well what can I say. Had to wait 55 MINUTES for € 15 euro salade, not one waiter/waitress had a friendly face (or tried to be somewhat friendly) and the food was mediocre.

My recommendation would be, If you are a fan of waiting, suck like prefer to stand in long lines, go to a doctor appointment a few hours early, or just like to ride into traffic jams, then this place is like HEAVEN for you!

The waiter came quickly to take our orders (Two salades and 2 drinks) and also came within a few minutes with our drinks. Till then things still went well. But then the unprofessional experience started.

We were just talking as usual and then after 30 min we noticed there wasn't any progress regarding to our food orders. All waiters stood still and were just making chit chats with each other. Also the kitchen was practically quiet. We let it go and tried to wait for a bit longer, since we also saw some other tables that received their food pretty slow/late too. But after 45 min in total we found it unacceptable and called the waiter. This waiter boy had to check with the kitchen and when he came back he told us it will be done in 5-10 minutes. And from that moment on we heard some sounds in the kitchen again. (Somethings tells me that, either they still had to hunt for the chicken for the chicken salade and that's the reason it took so long, or they forgot about it.)

So after waiting another 10 minutes, our two salade was there. Well presented (If you do something well, I will compliment you for that) but sadly the beef slices were actually chunks and the chicken was overcooked. Also the portion of the salades were pretty small for what you have to pay for it.

So after finishing those salades we paid the bill and left the place with in our minds that we will never...

2 Cappuccino besteld met 1 appeltaartje en 1 brownie De cappuccinos werden gebracht; 1 normaal zoals ie hoort, de ander had totaal geen schuim (meer? of nooit gehad) en had een flink voetenbad... ik zei; Zo, die stond er al even, zeker? (Omdat t schuim mss door het wachten was verdwenen) "Klopt" werd er geantwoord, serveerster draaide om en liep weg. Ze kwam met een papieren servetje terug om het geknoeide te deppen onder het kopje. De appeltaart werd wel gebracht maar de brownie duurde even. Uiteindelijk was de ene koffie (zonder schuim) al op toen uiteindelijk de brownie kwam; deze was blijkbaar (naderhand?) opgewarmd en gesmolten, evenals de slagroom die er naast droop.... Met neerzetten van dat schoteltje viel er een en ander aan chocoladedruppels langs, op de tafel, op m'n broek, etc... Balen want we moesten nog de rest van de dag door de stad. Ik ben normaal gesproken geen fijnproever of zo, maar de brownie smaakte ook niet eens (waarschijnlijk door het extra opwarmen ?)... Met afrekenen gezegd dat we deze dus ook niet op de rekening wilden, daar werd gelukkig niet moeilijk over gedaan, vandaar 2...

In november hier geluncht. We zaten in de serre. Ontzettend krap, iedere keer als de servering langs kwam moest iedereen schuiven. Dit was zeer onprettig. De serveersters leken hier ook moeite mee te hebben want toen ik er zat ging twee maal het drinken op de dienbladen om. Een keer ging het helaas volledig over een Duitse mevrouw heen. De serveerster wist zich niet op een passende manier te verontschuldigen tegenover de mevrouw. Ik had ontzettende last van plaatsvervangende schaamte. Daarnaast werd mijn eten ook slecht geserveerd, zo had deze persoon geen idee wat hij in de hand had en wat hij moest zeggen. Het eten smaakte wel zeer goed. Kortom benedenmaatse bediening, zeer onprettig veel tafels in een te kleine ruimte maar wel lekker eten. Ik zal niet...
