I always forgot to shoot a photo before eating as I could not wait 😋 Finally I manages to control my appetite to shoot some photos of our regular favorites side menu, but again forgot to take ramen photos before eatimg 🍜 Seriously that much mouth watering!!!
Ramen is by nature categorized as a heavy food, but Ajisan beautifully transformed it a light touch with their careful choice of ingredients and a love of food!
The lifeline of ramen is soup. They are too humble to announce how much effort they made, but actually the soup is no-chemical fravour and no-MSG. If you know that fact, you will be surprises how colourful yet harmonious fravour the soup has only from the natural ingredients! Of course it is a safer and healthir choice for a health conscious people.
Their paitan (pork based soup) is exceptional! You must try it jf you ever thought paitan was too heavy before. You will find the smooth touch of soup that lightly coats the noodle, and finish not only the noodle but soup in a blink 😉
My husband, Belgian food lover, recommends Tokyo style shoyu (soya sauce)-based soup. It made him a repeater of Ajisan and we visit almost once a week.
For my children as a mix of Belgian-Japanese genes, Ajisan is the place where they can feel home with varieties of side menu and hospitality. My younger child leaned how to use a chopstic thanks to their special training chopstic from Japan 😆
Some tips to enjoy Ajisan the fullest: Customize your ramen by topping-up such as additional noodle (Kaedama) and fravoured egg (Ajitama). A bit of customization will make you feel so special to enjoy your ramen 🥰 Personally, Ajitama is the best in any other ramen shops I ever visited.
Last but not least, don't miss their season's special (you can find the menu usually on the wall).
Updated@26Sept I manager to take a photo of ramen & side dishes before eating today. So replace some of the previous photos on...
Read moreBad, bad service! When we arrived almost all the tables outside were empty, so we chose one and ordered 3 x ramen. After that a lot of people came. When we waited for the food, EVERY table that arrived after us received their orders (ramen too). For 40 minutes nothing came to us, so we asked about it. Waitress said that she will check and she NEVER came back to inform us what is going on. So after next 10 minutes we had to ask a different waitress about it and she was very surprised and said 'ohh its very busy'. BUT IT WAS NOT BUSY WHEN WE ARRIVED, and every table that came after us received their ramen. For us it was clear that they have lost our order. Waitress said that we will be compensated for the long wait - we will get sth free in the order. After 60 minutes food comes. Ramen was nothing special and not even hot. Just warm. Then the bill came. As we already expected, no promised 'compensation' on it. What a mess. So we had to ask about it, like we didn't have enough unpleasantries in this place yet. So the waitress (Different one. We never saw again the one that promised us a 'compensation') went and came back with a coupon for '3 free pieces of gyoza next time we come there'. Why would we ever come back, after this rude treatment? We left this coupon on the table, because it was simply offensive. Some coupon for piece of gyoza next time is NOT a compensation because that doesn't have anything to do with the dinner that was such a disappointment and bad experience for us. If you lost an order you should say it, not make a fool of...
Read moreI went to this ramen restaurant in December, I pass by there every time because there is an excellent ramen restaurant just ahead after the pedestrian crossing, I won't name it because everyone knows it.
So I always saw the ad for the best ramen outside and said to try it, I eat ramen at least once or twice a week, I'm from Dordrecht and I go to Rotterdam just for ramen.
I went in, I tried the best ramen recommended by them and see the surprise, I waited for about half an hour, I said that it doesn't matter the time as long as they prepare it excellently according to what they said.
but at the end came a bowl as you can see in the pictures posted by them, so with the water that didn't really have any taste, I didn't even eat the whole bowl because in the end I felt sick and nauseous.
I went to pay, it seems to me like 24 € and I waited here for about 20 minutes because the girls had some work, I can't even figure out what such an important job they had because it was obvious that they had nothing to do, they saw that my bowl was half full, they realized that I probably didn't like it and finally I paid the bill.
After that I went out and went to the other restaurant further on that I mentioned above, at that one it doesn't matter if you wait even half an hour outside in line but it's worth it.
I also want to point out that the rest of the customers didn't eat all the ramen in the bowl either, so just think that everyone has their own taste in food, and with all that, it means that there are many here with the same...
