We just spent two weeks traveling around several locations in Northern Europe & Bakkerswerkplaats was the absolute best bakery we visited! There isn’t a huge selection, but the quality of every pastry is exceptional & the price cannot be beat. I had a sticky bun whose flavor & texture were like nothing I’ve had before. The apple turnover had the perfect level of sweetness & flakiness. If you’re taking a cruise from Rotterdam, make this a stop before you set sail. It’s an easy 15 minute walk & you won’t regret it. Tried the Chocolate Croissant and the Cinnamon Roll w/ Pistachio.

The Chocolate Croissant was like a pain au chocolat, but with more chocolate. It had milk chocolate frosting and white chocolate curls on top. It did not look very aesthetically pleasing, but it was very tasty.

The Cinnamon Roll was sweet, sticky and delicious.
