Read moreThere’s definitely a lot of attention around BAKKIT, and I was excited to check it out for a while. I visited them on Saturday afternoon, which was an extremely busy time of the day for them. All the tables were taken, and there was a queue for ordering takeaway. There were different pastries and pesto tomato croissants as a savoury option. I tried the seasonal croissant with pistachio and raspberry, which was simply average, I’m afraid. It would have been better if the pistachios were crushed and not whole. The cream was quite ordinary and lacked some signature contrast flavour, and overall, even with cream, the croissant was rather dry. I took some things to try at home, too - Hazelnut Financier and Almond croissant. The latter turned out to be quite dry, too, but the Financier was good. Overall, I didn’t try anything that would make me eager to come back, but I’d like to give it still another go and try the Cheese Waffle. Although I didn’t see it on the menu, only on their Instagram page - it might be a good idea to keep an updated menu...

The staff were also super friendly and other pastries we ordered were also really tasty. My only comment would be as a frequent matcha drinker that the Matcha latte I ordered tasted a bit watered down which was a bit unfortunate… It could be argued that it was diluted because I had a iced latte and maybe I drank it after waiting too long but that was not the case. After the visit I went back to look at other reviews and it seems that it is a common experience for others too that the Matcha tasted very watered down 😕 It is also worth mentioning that while the pastries did taste good they are a bit on the more expensive side but worth it as a little sweet treat😚 Another thing that I also noticed was that there are glasses and jugs of water for the guests but when I went to grab some water for my friend and I almost all the...
