De Après Skihut — Restaurant in Rotterdam

the place was great in itself, good music bathroom is clean and great security. the problem was the coat check. i check in two coats, i get told it’s 4 euros and i repeatedly ask if this is for the two coats and the lady says yes. i must have asked 3 times. she gives me one ticket and i assume it’s for both jackets AS IM PAYING TOGETHER AND GIVING THEM TOGETHER. i get my singular ticket and i go on. when i go to leave, i pull out my ticket and she hands me one jacket, i say there are supposed to be two. she tells me that because i have in one ticket it’s one coat. it’s the same lady as before so i tell her no i asked you multiple times when i checked them in and you handed me one ticket. she starts laughing at me and she tells me that i will have to wait until closing and i say no i want to leave now. i start literally begging her and she’s mocking and laughing at me. at this point security comes and tries to help by asking if there was anything in the pockets that could identify it was mine, luckily there was. the lady goes STRAIGHT TO MY JACKET, meaning she knew it was mine all along, and finally hands it to me. awful ending to a good night. the lady was wearing a red top and she had dark hair. i hope in the future she doesn’t lie and mock...

We visited the restaurant for a late lunch, since it was around 1430, we found it pretty much empty with very few guests around for lunch.

Service: Average, we were greeted & seated in pretty average fashion. I cannot class it very friendly but it wasn't rude either. Orders were taken well in time.

Food:

1. Beef Steak: quality of meat was below average, not served what asked for. I asked for medium but given medium rare, however i didnt complain about it, as I am OK with medium rare too. Over all below average dish.
2. Chicken in sate sauce, fries & salad. The dish was average, the sauce was a bit too strong, but I'd rate it OK.
3. Goat Cheese salad. It was very nice & tasty. Well above average dish.

Even though sitting area was clean, the restaurant washing area was visible and wasn't showing the best of sight, plate left there with flies around and pigeons helping themselves etc. Not all staff was behaving at best with guests, so I am sure there will be some reviews complaining about service / staff, luckily the ones served us even though not the best but wasn't bad either.
