Fast food Italian with low pricing. We visit this location regularly. The food is good for the price. However, we had a bad experience this time and something similar happened before at busy evenings.
They have a system that you have to wait in line and a member of the staff will guide you to your table. That is fine. But the members of the staff did not intervene when people who did not want to wait skipped the waiting line and went searching for a table themselves. The member of the staff whom these guests approached for a table a few seconds later pointed them towards the line but the guests did not join the line and got the next available table anyways. Even though it was obvious that these guests were the last ones in and other people had been waiting for a while. Apparently, jumping the queue is acceptable.
This is simply very rude to other customers. Especially since it was a busy evening. Happy Italy should choose a guest allocation system and stick with it. For example by having somebody welcome guests at the entrance. I guess the low pricing is reflected in an absolute minimum of staff members who do their best but are not in full control. In that respect you get what you pay for.
Update October 2020: we continued visiting regularly. The staff has much improved. Customers are welcomed and attention is given. Maybe it helps that there are less customers because of Corona, but regardless staff...
Read moreMessage in front: the meals have been great and the waiters have been very nice.
But we just did not understand your ordersystem. As we entered, we directly noticed your order-touchscreens. They are just like the ones we know from McDonalds. So we thought, ok just taking a seat would not get us served. Especially as the touchscreens had the options to "take away" or to "stay and eat".
After selecting/paying/and taking a seat (in the wrong place of course = restaurant) one of your nice waiters explained how it really should have worked. But as it was about the end of the day we were allowed to stay there and take our meal as soon as it was finished.
Here comes the downside for what i think the two stars have to be cut: We orderd to eat there and we still got all the meal in throw-away to-go dishes. In todays discussion of how to serve for a better environment this is an absolute no go.
Although we ordered in the to-go area, why does a restaurant that has the choice of eating there and to take it away treat customers in two different ways for the same result? As a real restaurant you have everything prepared to be independed of plastic for...
Read moreHa! Happy Italy. Should be called misery Italy. We went last weds for lunch, me and my 2 children. Waited ages to order, even though the restaurant was almost empty, we finally ordered and I asked if we could have olives too which I was told yes, (they never came). Our meals were ready for 10 mins as we sat there patiently watching them, eventually the waitress bought them to us, and our drinks we ordered 25 minutes before arrived shortly after. I could understand if it was a full house in a Friday evening but the place was empty and had plenty of staff. After paying I asked the waitress if she could box up my half pizza left and my daughters pasta. She threw us the boxes on the table to box ourselves, then my daughter wanted to take away her bubble tea as she had only drank half the glass. To which I walked over to the waiter and asked for a cup, he pointed to bar and said help yourself to the clear plastic cup but the paper one you need to pay for. I laughed out loud and said I just paid €4.95 for a bubble tea. And you want me to pay the cup too 😂 I took the plastic see through cup.
