To add to the response from the owner, maybe they should not agree to the artist's request of organizing a packed standing concert if their ventilation system is obviously not built to handle such a crowd. Despite a relatively cold day it has gotten tropical inside in a matter of minutes and, around halfway through the concert, somebody fainted in the audience. It makes me very doubtful about them following fire safety regulations as well, considering that every additional person calls for 5mm wider evacuation door and due to them cutting off the access to the upper entrances from the lower floor they have closed off one of the evacuation routes for the vast majority of the people gathered there. This is one of Rotterdam's nicest cinemas. You can come here to watch the main stream movies just as well as some art house classics. The atmosphere is classy bit cosy and the interior design is interesting and exemplary for the Rotterdam of the past five to ten years.

If you want to combine the movie with a breakfast, lunch or diner, there is a restaurant attached to the cinema and you can use one of the special offers (ticket plus food). Don't expect too much, the food is solid and the service is mediocre, but especially the view on the terrace can compensate you for this!

I was deeply disappointed. A piano concert where they rolled the seats back and forced the audience to stand, just so they could sell more tickets. It was not a punk concert to get a mosh pit going, it was a piano concert that you're supposed to enjoy in an absolute peace. I've seen half of it in a reflection of a cover of the piano keys and I believe that the 90% of the audience could not see anything at all.
