Review of MSC Euribia – Northern Europe Cruise
I recently traveled on the MSC Euribia to Northern Europe, and while the ship itself is modern and visually impressive, my overall experience left me quite disappointed.
What stood out most was that MSC seems more focused on generating extra revenue from passengers rather than creating a memorable customer experience. The included food options were limited only to the buffet on the 15th floor and the assigned main dining restaurant. Every other dining venue across the ship required additional payment, which felt restrictive compared to what I’ve experienced with other cruise lines. Even something as basic as getting water was unnecessarily complicated and often frustrating.
Having previously traveled with Royal Caribbean, the difference was striking. On Royal Caribbean ships, there are multiple included dining venues spread throughout, making it easy and enjoyable to experience a variety of food without feeling pressured to pay extra at every step. Their focus is clearly on enhancing the passenger’s journey, not upselling constantly.
Overall, while the itinerary was good, MSC Euribia fell short in offering a true guest-centered cruise experience. If you are looking for value, flexibility, and genuine hospitality, I would recommend considering other cruise...
Read moreThe marketplace buffet was a horrific experience, too many people crammed into too small a space, this affected people’s behaviour and trying to get a seat or a plate of food felt like a scene from the hunger games. The quality of the food was mediocre, with occasional highlights, but mainly the same basic quality food every night. The bars were the worst experience of any cruise I’ve been on, overworked unhappy staff being besieged by too many frustrated customers. The quality of the drinks was a disgrace. The same experience trying to use any of the facilities, too many people trying to use pools, jacuzzis, sun loungers, just awful. The entertainment was limited, a single theatre doing a 30min show. A post theatre dance in the shopping mall which played the same music every night was tragic. The carousel lounge couldn’t play music loud or late because the ‘expensive cabins were located nearby’ and the actual disco was like a crèche, tiny and full of unaccompanied minors drinking...

I’m currently onboard the MSC Euribia, staying in cabin 13119, and I must say: this cruise has been nothing short of a disappointment.
🔸 Breakfast is an absolute mess – endless queues, dirty tables, and total disorganization every single morning. 🔸 Dinner service is terrible: slow, uncoordinated, and underwhelming. What’s even more frustrating is that nearby tables are served wine in crystal glasses, while we get cheap wine in plastic cups — despite having paid for the Easy Plus package. 🔸 I also tried to upgrade to a balcony cabin and the process was a nightmare. Confusion, miscommunication, and zero real effort to resolve it.
We paid for quality, service, and comfort — and received the opposite. MSC advertises luxury, but delivers stress and disappointment.
This was supposed to be a memorable vacation. Instead, it’s a frustrating experience I wouldn’t wish on anyone. Never again with MSC, and I definitely don’t recommend the...
