A Slice of Home at Ilya's Restaurant in Rotterdam

As someone who grew up amidst the vibrant hospitality of Naples, I hold high expectations when it comes to dining experiences—especially abroad. Ilya’s Restaurant in Rotterdam not only met those expectations but surpassed them, leaving me with a heartfelt sense of home and belonging.

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The staff greeted us with genuine smiles and an energy that immediately put us at ease. It wasn’t just about being served; it was about being cared for. Giuseppe, Mustafa, and Lamia each brought their unique charm to the experience, making our evening unforgettable.

Giuseppe is the heart and soul of hospitality. His attentiveness and passion for ensuring every guest feels special are unmatched. He has a way of making you feel like an old friend, sharing anecdotes and offering thoughtful menu recommendations that perfectly matched our tastes. His ability to connect with guests is rare and deeply appreciated.

Mustafa, with his quiet efficiency and warm demeanor, brought a sense of calm to the table. Every interaction felt personal and genuine, whether it was ensuring our glasses were always full or checking in with a kind smile. His attention to detail made us feel truly pampered.

And then there’s Lamia—what a star! Her energy is infectious, and her knowledge of the menu is remarkable. She brought the dishes to life with her descriptions, and her enthusiasm for the restaurant’s offerings was contagious. Her sense of humor and friendliness made it feel as though we were dining in the company of family.

The food was, of course, exceptional—a perfect blend of Mediterranean flavors with a touch of Dutch inspiration. But it was the warmth and sincerity of the staff that elevated the experience. Coming from Naples, where hospitality is a cornerstone of our culture, Ilya’s Restaurant made me feel like I was back at a family gathering surrounded by friends and loved ones.

I cannot recommend Ilya’s enough. If you’re looking for more than just a meal—if you’re looking for an experience that fills your heart as much as your stomach—this is the place to go. Giuseppe, Mustafa, and Lamia, thank you for making us feel so at home. We left with full bellies and even fuller hearts, already planning our next visit.

Bravo, Ilya’s! You’ve truly captured the spirit of...

The food was really delicious! Here is my first fav restaurant after I come to NL. The staff members were really kind and the dishes were really large, sometimes it was hard to eat all. I would come here again.

I visited here twice, and I tried Beef tenderloin ,caesar salad and cream pasta with shrimp. All dishes are really delicious and perfect. Also it was packable when I am full.

Staffs are all kind, even if I am not good at english or dutch, they talked slowly and clearly for me. And I was able to order by QR code, so I had plenty time to choose dishes. This would help people like me, such as travelers.

+) I visited on a rainy day, and I wanted to stay longer until rain stops. Then a staff gave me a cup of tea for free, and said to me I can stay here. I was so impressed with their sevice🥹🥹 I hope my happiness was delivered even with my...
