Kade 4 — Restaurant in Rotterdam

We stopped in the place because it was on the way that we were taking to visit Rotterdam. It definitely looked like an average place with nice views. It was quite surprising however how slow was the service. The food was okay, nothing to highlight. Chicken sate was quite dry, the salad was good. They have tap water. Price is okay for the area.

The reason for the two stars is basically the speed of the service. Inside there were only 4 tables sitting and outside was at about 75% capacity. After sitting us on the table and take our drink order, it took them over 15 minutes to come back to take our food order. However the worst part of it is that at least 3 other tables that dat down after we ordered our food got served before us (we were 5 and these tables were of 2, 4 and 4 people). It took a total of 35 minutes for the food to arrive. And the chicken sate took even 10 minutes longer than the rest. I'm usually a very patient customer but that was very unacceptable for the type of restaurant and the food ordered (a sandwich, 2 fish and chips, 2 kip saté and 2 salads).

I went for dinner last week with 2 friends and the experience wasn't really good... We ordered burguers meal and was a bad idea... The burguers was so bad quality, like classic burguer that you can prepare in your house for 5€, dry meat and bread... The service was normal and the ambient in this place is really cool, if they improve the food I think can be a great place for eat, at the moment I just recommend if you want go to drink something with your friends and spend the evening. The staff was busy with cleaning off tables,just gave a wave and got an arrogant stare back from a young girl. Luckily the next one was friendly so we stayed for lunch. Food was ok. A chimney smoker near by so we moved inside. Unfortunitily the smokers moved next to the entrance,the staff smoke s there too ...we got blasted with their poison.
