Scheepshelling Koningspoort — Attraction in Rotterdam

What i learnt today about htis place:

The Koningspoort slipway is a museum on the site where the passage from the Maas to the Old Port of Rotterdam used to be .

This yard offers owners of historic ships the opportunity to maintain, repair and restore them in an authentic manner. The five ramps can lift a total weight of 150 tons. The - also historic - yard crane is available for lifting work up to 1250 kg. There is also an iron and wood workshop and a blacksmith shop on the wharf.

The management of the Maritime Museum says it has not succeeded in making the shipyard a financial success. A group of Rotterdam ship restorers founded the Stichting Temporary Management Koningspoort (STBK) and thus kept the yard...
