Stopped by on a Monday evening.
We were welcomed with a complementary papadum w/ (1) mint dip & (2) mango dip. The papadum was tasty. We did not like the mint and mango dips.
You order your food & beverages through a tablet. You also use the tablet to ask for extra cutlery or the bill.
We ordered the mixed meat platter to share. The mixed meat platter includes: 2x samosa, 2x onion bhaji, 2x half a chicken sheekh kebab, 2x half a lamb sheekh kebab and 4x chicken wings. The samosa was tasty. The onion bhaji was tasty too, but arrived cold. The meat (sheekh kebabs and chicken wings) were not warm. It was as if they had been plated in advance. The sheekh kebabs were seasoned well. The lamb sheekh kebab was quite spicy.
Our mains were the lamb rogan josh (light spicy), the lamb madras (medium spicy) and the bread basket. The lamb in the curry was boneless mutton. Lamb is quite tender. Mutton is much tougher in comparison. Both curries were tasty. The rogan josh tasted more earthy. The madras tasted more tangy. The bread basket includes a variety of bread. 3 breads chosen by the chef. Our breads were (1) aloo paratha, (2) butter naan and (3) garlic naan. The aloo paratha was quite spicy. I did not like it, but my partner did. The butter naan was my favourite. It was thin and crispy and slathered in butter.
Service could have been better. The servers were not that attentive. We asked for extra serviettes twice and they only brought them over when we no longer needed them. (When they arrived, we had finished our meal and already washed our hands in the bathroom.) We accidentally ordered 2 bread baskets and immediately rectified it. Server 1 communicated it to the kitchen. And, server 2 amended our order in their system. But, when server 3 brought us the bill, we were still charged for 2 bread baskets - even though we had only had 1.
The bathroom was clean, but very dark.
I would not order the mixed meat platter again. Mostly because it arrived lukewarm. I would order their curry again. Not one of the best curries I have ever had, but definitely not one of the worst. My current favourite curry by this restaurant is the butter chicken.

Ordered the mango lassie, samosa and butter chicken via Uber Eats. The food was supposed to be delivered between 4.45 and 5.00. And, it arrived ( 1 hr later) at 6.05. When the food arrived, the samosa and butter chicken had cooled down. I had to pop both in the microwave for a couple of minutes. The butter chicken was very good. I did not enjoy the samosa and mango lassie. If you order via Uber Eats, please bear in mind that they take a very long time to deliver your food. (I ordered my food at 4.00 and it did not arrive until after 6.00.) And, they do not update the tracker (estimated time of delivery) on the Uber Eats app.

Ordered the butter chicken. Rice was included. The butter chicken was very tasty.
The chicken was soft and tender. However, my curry also had a lot of chicken skin, bones and cartilage - which I did not like.
If you are picking up a takeaway, do not use the main entrance (which leads to the restaurant). Instead take the same door as the...
Read moreA family member reserved this restaurant for a birthday meal, we were a family of 5, which included a baby in a pushchair. The restaurant is located in a nice area in the centre of Rotterdam with scenic views. There is outdoor seating should you wish to dine outside, the inside decor is fairly stylish with dim lighting. Upon arrival, the lady at the bar did not seem interested and made no eye contact, after a few minutes wait we were greeted and seated right away by another member of staff but we were not offered a high chair. The menu has a variety to choose from but still lack in many dishes, the ordering system via the tablet is quick and efficient as you can order according to your preference and take your time. The customer service is appaling, really slow and moody waiters/waitresses, they had to be called several times as they do not listen the first time. The atmosphere is really noisy and you can just about hear the music or each other, also the restaurant is not child friendly as they have no baby changing facilities, when questioned about this I was taken to a cold and dirty store room to change my 6 month old baby which I refused, absolutely disgusting, however, another staff member who was an older Indian woman took me to the Cafe next door, when she went to get the keys to open up the Cafe, another Dutch staff member was making faces and said to go out the other way, bearing in mind I was carrying a 6 month old baby and it was cold in the evening, yet she wanted us to walk outside. In terms of food and drink, mocktails were nothing special and just full of syrup, non veg starter was delicious, butter chicken and the chicken biryani was tasty too, portions are average, a complimentary brownie with ice cream was given at the end and the happy birthday song was played for us. Overall, the restaurant is overpriced and I do not recommend this place, there are better choices out there. Restaurant needs improvements then I...
Read moreThe good : nice location, nice chairs, big place enough space for everyone, i wasnt poisoned as in many comparable places. No joke, i ended up badly few years ago after eating same cousine, but this one was OK. The bad : ordering goes true a tabled in a steal frame, as soon as you try to order any food the tablet crashes, so you need to get them to come and check, we had like 6 tablets, all crashed, they said its wifi issue, could be, cause its not smart to put a tablet in a faraday cage. For starters they brought indian crackers, and forgot the souce, then 20 minutes later came sauce, not tasty watery.. and the crackers were made in old oil so it tasted like eating very unhealthy. We had like 6-7 different diches, all of them had no unique taste, it was eighter too much mixed up stuff in watery souce, or 2 types of rice, one was just simple rice, and second with spice hot pepper, basicly all food is so full of spices it tastes same and has no character. Its like you ate, but dont know what you ate. The personnel was a story on itself, one very friendly but didnot even know basic soda names like pepsi or casis. Second girl was angry all the time, things fell from her hands on custummers, no excuses nothing... 1 guy spoke dutch, others only english and that not so good.
In other words, this cannot be a restaurant, you could eat here, but dont expect much, and its not cheap, so think twice if you are a foodie. I had bad experiance with this cousine and this one added on top, not as bad as before, but still couldnt move the balance to the...
