Stockholm — Restaurant in Rotterdam

We have been to Rotterdam many times and this time we wanted to end our holiday here. The experience was not one that we would necessarily want to repeat. Two of the I think 3 waitresses that evening were very inattentive, it took more than 45 minutes for the food to be taken at all, my partner already wanted to leave. The waitresses only came when waved at (just as an aside they kept walking right past us and asking other guests if at all) and didn't notice anything on their own. The only attentive waitress had to balance out the others and tell them when to clear the table, for example, and I honestly felt sorry for her. Unfortunately, this continued throughout the evening. Overall, I don't know what to say, the ambience is nice, the food is good, but not a highlight that makes up for the previous misery, service is friendly but unfortunately not focussed. The warm enthusiastic welcome by our waitress, and buzzing atmosphere set the tone of an excellent evening dining wonderfully surrounded by a host of fellow happy diners. The food was far better than expected, for a restaurant with so many covers to turn our such skillfully prepared dishes made from the best of ingredients shows true talent in the kitchen. The whole mackerel I ordered was presented beautifully and served exactly as I adore it, that is so fresh and partially cooked that it still seemed ready to swim off the plate. A true flavour packed joy to eat. Thank you very much yet again, we will surely return on our next visit to Rotterdam. warmest best...

Came here for a special occasion and was super disappointed, it put a dampener on my evening. My main course was so bad and bland, risotto tasted like watery plastic, so I sent it back and didn't eat. My friends got a tiny portion of disappointing fatty meat. The food took a long time to come. The waiter didn't know how to open a bottle of wine and put her elbow in my step mom's face and didn't even say sorry.
