Wong's Place — Restaurant in Rotterdam

Wong’s place is a little surinamchinese deli wich is situated for over 20 years at the corner near the end of the jonkerfransstraat in Rotterdam. The ordered steak sandwich and saotosoup were good , fresh made and tasteful wich is not always the case if you come regulary = the later you come after opening hours the more dryed out the meat for the sandwiches look . So tip : come within 1 hour of openingtime and all is fresh made...

Walked in at 4pm to "quickly" pick up food (since the meals were displayed at the counter): prep time took 30 minutes even though the place was not busy. Was also surprised by the ENORMOUS portion size- prefer to pay less for less. Finally the chicken curry sauce was not the best...tasted like those...

Ik had hier kipfilet in zwarte bonensaus besteld maar dit was echt slecht. Het leek meer op Tjap tjoi zoveel groente zat erin verwerkt en heel weinig kip daarnaast vond ik de saus (wat zwarte bonensaus moest voorstellen ) totaal niet naar zwarte bonen smaken was ook veels te licht van kleur en kon geen zwarte boon vinden, dit leek op saus uit een potje die je bij de toko kan kopen en niet zelf gemaakt wat absoluut niet veel moeite kost, wat me ook echt tegenviel is dat ze de saus niet hadden gebonden met maizena of aardappelzetmeel waardoor je dus een soort waterige saus krijgt en de weinige kip dat erin zat heel droog was. Ik heb een paar happen genomen maar heb het helaas weg moeten gooien want dit smaakte helemaal...
