Location: A few tram stops from Rotterdam Central or a 8-12 minutes walk from metro station Blaak or Oostplein. Ordering: The QR-code leads you to their ordering menu site, which you order on. We went on a monday evening, between 17:30-20:30. It wasn't really busy, but there were a couple of tables occupied. Price point: It's a bit pricey, but you do get fresh produce & meat for your hotpot, they also have bubble milk tea on their menu. Toilets: The women's toilet has 2 toilet stalls. Seating: The table seating isn't ideal. We were a party of 2 & were seated at a 4 person table, the fondue induction cooktop is in the center of the table, w/ a whole column of metal underneath the table. While eating I prefer my chair to be more under the table, so that my belly touches the table w/ hardly any space in between the table & my belly, but this wasn't possible here.
Recommed?
Yes, for the freshness of the products, bubble milk tea & the quiet atmosphere. I don't think it's a very popular hotpot place because most tables were left unoccupied during our diner. No, for the...
Read moreThe food was good, the waitress was really nice and the place was lovely but we barely started eating when we noticed thick smoke coming from under the table. It started to get blurry and stinky pretty quick (we were on a little closed space with 2 table) and then we realised that something in the hotpot electric system (?) right under our table almost caught on fire. The staff went quickly and asked us to leave the room then we waited for them to transfert our meal to another table so we had to wait for a long time for the pot to boil again (some of our food was already in there so it was all overcooked and undercooked at the same time). They took our 5€ dip sauce away and when I went to pour another one, most of the main ingredients were missing so I couldn’t even take another one. We even had no « basket » to cook the noodles and had to go take it by ourself. We still kept smiling and saying to the staff « don’t worry » even if we were a bit disapointed but you know, it happens. Then when I went to pay the bill, nobody even said «sorry » to us, give us a little free drink or apply a little discount for what happened. As a waitress too, I think it could be the bare minimum? Anyways, I paid full price (even the 5€...
Read moreThis's one of the best Chinese restaurant I've visited in the Netherlands and I hope it can maintain this quality forever:) We went there the first time with 3 persons with no expectations cuz many Asian restaurants here serve non-traditional food that we don't like that much. We ordered green chili and mushroom soup bases, three beef dishes, one pork dish, pork meatballs, Chinese ham and three vegetables. We found everything very delicious. The meat and vegetables were fresh. The ingredients for the dipping sauce were clean and of good quality, and they had everything you need: fresh chilies, garlic, spring onions, cilantro, Chinese vinegar, ground sesame sauce, sesame oil, soy sauce, etc.
One thing I would like to say to the restaurant is... The counter for self-made dipping sauces was too full. Customers can easily spill and make a mess. It would be better if every table has a bottle of soy sauce, sesame oil, vinegar, and other liquid seasonings. If anyone wants to spice up his sauce with chili or garlic, they can walk up to the counter and add it themselves. Like this people won't have to line up at the sauce counter in cases there are a lot...
