I was very disappointed with the hotel. Firstly, having to go up steep unlit stairs to register. After I complained about the lack of lighting, they turned a chandelier on which improved the situation. Then going from the reception to the rooms required crossing a small terrace/courtyard which had very loose uneven slabs with gaps between them and also loose green carpet tiles which also had gaps between them. Very dangerous for anyone who has mobility problems. I don’t. This could be fixed easily at,little cost. |Next, the door to the bedroom complex was very noisy when closing.|The stair access to the outside had a very close fitting banister which could trap your hand.|The bedroom no 4 was large with a kitchen unit in it. However, there was no wardrobe or drawers for clothes, only 3 hooks behind the door. The bathroom was small but adequate for me although the shower unit soaked the toilet area floor. Poor drainage. In the evening, guests returning were noisy with banging doors etc. a polite notice could solve that issue.|The staff however were very attentive and helpful, despite the hotel being in need of refurbishment and I cannot commend them enough for their efforts. |All in all I would rate the hotel as 1 star. You also had to pre order breakfast the previous night. A...

When we asked again, we specifically asked for a big carafe, of TAP water. Do you have that? Yes, yes. Still brought a big bottle of branded mineral water. They took it back and finally said that they don't do tap water. By the way: Some restaurants in the NL offer tap water, others don't. Some charge a small amount for it. It's still complicated in the NL.. Point is: tap water in NL is really good, but restaurants prefer to sell overpriced branded...
